This session introduces Waku v2, a privacy-preserving peer-to-peer messaging protocol designed for resource-constrained devices. It revisits Ethereum's original vision for machine-to-machine messaging, examines challenges and open questions around that vision, and discusses approaches to addressing them through the protocol's development.

discord uh lee andrea uh you can chat with back or you can actually replace the back end if that's good um all right boys uh so yeah exactly what we are what we're doing just in order to dog food while it's still being integrated in for example the sas app is that we are running like a basic chat chat app toy chat as a command line version and then we are bridging it to the discord channel and so on so people who are not sort of coders can still use it as for replacing
it wouldn't be replacing the back end but there's some on the more product side of things uh there's some work around status in terms of enabling kind of discord like usage um but that's that's separate from sort of the protocol research effort and and providing libraries and so on uh does that could do any in store not no there's no so it's kind of it's completely a separate pdp network um and also because you don't really need consensus around the messaging um so any on-scene operation would be obviously depending on specific use case so if you do some kind of voting aggregation you might have a final sort of um state b storm chain and uh when it comes
to things like spam protection there might be a deposit that you deposit on chainers one but but none of the messages or in the store railing happens uh on chain it's completely separate and next steps vacuum and status so so for vacuum i think it's it's continued with like working on making sure it's um it's robust like there's a lot of different areas we're working on um some around benchmarking better sort of node discovery so it works for mobile and browsers and so on um making the interaction better with dapps better privacy um [Music] analysis and so on and a bunch of other
