Unvetica Garage Chat #3 - Validator Workshop + Ethstaker.cc Website

Transcript

all right hello everyone anvedica.eth here coming at you for another episode of the garage chats and i wanted to discuss a few things uh the common thread here is always you know how is the east acre community helping those who want a solo stake and become more confident in solo staking that's sort of been the common theme lately especially now that the deposit contract has been published uh you know depending on who you talk to some feel that uh the deposit rate should be going quicker um some feel that it's exactly on track what it should be but regardless of what camp you're sort of sitting in

there definitely are a number of people that can relate to being a little trigger shy on depositing their initial uh 32 eth into deposit contract and one of the things that we as moderators are trying to do to help those that don't have the confidence to solo stake is we're running a validator workshop on saturday november 21st and we're literally taking a bare metal machine and going through every step from setting up setting up an eth1 node to picking out a client to installing all the binaries to

actually spinning up a validator node on the test net the point here is for those who are on the fringe to become more confident and comfortable working with these systems sometimes they're not necessarily as intuitive as you may think but once you get uh acclimated with these systems and step into them they're far much less scary and they're they're actually much more intuitive and much more supported than you might think especially the way we set you up with the operating system and the clients it is incredibly easy to even without the east echo community do some google searching and really find the answers that you're looking for

so i highly highly recommend that anyone that is looking to participate as a solo staker join us on saturday november 21st at 1 pm utc time and we'll get you taken care of we'll we'll do the workshop together and it's a perfect place to ask any questions that you may have maybe you are already a solo staker you've got everything set up but you're just you've got a few questions that you haven't been able to connect the dots this again is a perfect opportunity to ask those questions and to help our community better we are predominantly based on the our east staker discord server and the reddit uh subreddit

for e-staker now sometimes uh in our case things are going so fast that it's even with those platforms it's a little hard to keep track of things so we're actively developing our new permanent home at eathstaker.cc that's our new website if you go there right now there's an event calendar with all of our upcoming events whether those be community calls this workshop or any special events coming down the pike those will be posted first on the website and we'll blast those out to our normal platforms like twitter and reddit discord things like that but please bookmark us everything that we'll be

hosting will be on there and the details for the validator workshop and the registration for the validator workshop are also on ethe eathstaker.cc going back to the validator workshop i highly recommend recommend you go to the website and register on that form also all of the technical prerequisites necessary to register register for the workshop around there too those need to be completed in order for everyone to be in the same place for when we start again we welcome all ability levels to our community we are friendly first and knowledgeable second

that is our priority those will always be our priorities and we hope to see you all there all right bye
