Hello. Hi everyone. My name is Nolan Ross. And I'm Jonathan Meyer. One of the East Staker core members. So today we are doing a little Kahoot quiz, just some Ethereum trivia, mostly staking, but also some silly questions.

I encourage everyone to participate. This is always really fun. Um just go to kahoot.it enter in the game pin. You don't need to make an account. You don't need to download an app. It's pretty painless and frictionless. And this is all covering Justin and Jerome's talk. So if you listen to closely to both of those Yeah. You get 100%. No. >> [laughter] >> Um I don't know. We got a few people in. I think are we live streaming this? We are right?

>> It's on it's on YouTube. Okay, if you're watching on YouTube, you can also play too. There'll be a little bit of a delay. So you won't get the most points, but uh you can still play. Um also one thing to note is that the faster you answer, the more points you get. So whenever we do these, there's always a bunch of super smart people that get every question right. So it's important to be quick. All right. Um is anyone still in the room joining up, or are we pretty good to go? Ken, you're working on it?

>> All right, we looking good? 15 seems good. All right, let's roll. In Ethereum proof of stake, time is divided into 12-second windows. What is this 12-second window called? These feel like softball questions to start. >> We're starting easy. I'm where? Oh, I'm in there. You guys got to see. Um so slot, period, length or era.

Oh, if I stand right there. Ah. Yeah, you can different different seat. Okay. Almost everyone got that. Who next? Let's see. Uh speed. Classic Buddha. He saw all the questions. He's cheating. Just usual. What are 32 slots called? You've got a block, a clump, an epoch, or an era.

Could be clump. >> [laughter] >> We need like Jeopardy music in the in between time. >> Yeah, next time. Okay, Buddha, Marius coming up. What was the consensus layer called previously? They're getting harder. Eth1 Eth2 Sepolia or the execution layer.

Did you get it wrong, Buddha? Oh no. >> [laughter] >> They they get harder. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. All right, let's see. That one was okay. Oh, Buddha's right off the list. This is more This is like a trigger finger test more. Test more. >> What is the name of the randomness engine that chooses which validator produces a block? This is where I start to have to pronounce things correctly. Randomness engine Keccak-256 Is that right? HDMI and Rando.

The good news for all of you is that Ladislaus, our previous winner, is on a plane right now. So Okay, good good work, everybody. Nice. See. All right. My mom, I didn't know she knew so much about crypto. >> What is the function used for by Ethereum for its aggregate signatures, allowing thousands of validators to sign a block? It was just mentioned. ECDSA, BLS signatures, Schnorr signatures, or RSA-2048.

And this is now, not in the future. I should be clear. BLS signatures. >> Hey, wow. You guys nailed it. Everyone got it. Alrog answer streak of five. Who would you have seen around if you went to ECC7? Ooh, it's hot. Oh. >> Was it Archie, Pepe Le Pew, Tintin or Saget?

They're not quite all staking questions. Yeah. >> [laughter] >> See, most people know it's Tintin. He's the Belgian cartoon character. There's murals of them all over the city. Let's see. Ooh, that one shook it up. >> Whoa. Ken's coming in. All right, sorry guys. My bad. Finality in Ethereum proof of stake is achieved when an epoch receives votes from what percentage of the total active staked ETH?

33%, 50%, 66%, or 90%? >> [laughter] >> I think custom field. Oh. Nice. Okay, that was that was that was that was a relatively easy one. Here we go. Okay, not too much. What does a director want to leave Cannes with? Grand Jury Prize, Palm d'Or, Grand Prix, or the Golden Lion?

You guys can't complain. We're literally in the building. >> [laughter] >> I think famous movies are watched in this room. Definitely. Yes. It's the Palm d'Or. It's the trophy for the Cannes Film Festival. Okay, that's a big shake-up. Nickso knew. In the LMD Ghost Fork Choice Rule, what does LMD stand for? Low memory distribution, linear message delivery latest message driven, or last miner decided?

>> [clears throat] >> Okay. >> All right. >> Most people knew. See, that's that's probably one of the most difficult ones. See. Okay, Ken's hanging in there. Why do people have a bat in their Twitter handle? MRI ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, or CAT scan? We're medical community. It has something to do with that last guy that was talking.

>> [laughter] >> I should have put Batman on there. Uh [snorts] maybe I should have. Uh yes, ultrasound, as in ultrasound money. Okay, I think everyone got that one. According to the 2025 East Staker survey, what percentage of solo stakers plan to migrate to type two validators? 87%, 49%, 5%, or 24%? And I'm just going to also use this as a plug for doing the survey right now that just came out for this year.

So if you haven't filled it out, fill it out. Do our survey. Okay, Marius. Let's go. >> [laughter] >> What PFP project has been in the news lately? CryptoPunks, Bored Bored Ape Yacht Club Cool Cats, or Miladies? Yes, and of course it's Milady. Uh for better or worse. I I don't even know what it is.

>> [laughter] >> Let's see. Okay. >> First to 10K. No shake-up. This is still anyone's game here. What happens to slashed ETH? It is redistributed to all other active validators. It is sent to me. It is permanently burned, or it is sent to Lamboshi. I like D. Choose D. >> [laughter] >> Okay. All right.

Nickso, eight in a row. Which consensus client currently the most popular? Prism, Lighthouse, Teku, or Nimbus? >> [laughter] [laughter] >> Yeah, this was partly as a result of our client diversity push. We've kind of gone swung all the way around. Now we need to start it to back up again, but yes, it's Lighthouse.

All right. Okay. Ooh, close horse race at the end. How many validators are there in a sync committee? Pick a number: 32, 128, 256, or 512. Ooh. >> Ooh, okay. That was crazy. >> What is it? You guys need to uh read Ben Edgington's book. Oh, oh. Okay, nobody got in the top three got it.

What is the naming convention for recent Ethereum upgrades? Mountains and rivers, scientists combined with elements, cities and stars, and subways and icebergs. >> [laughter] >> Okay. When did the Ropsten testnet launch?

This is Ropsten. Oh, yeah. My bad. My bad. 2015, 2016, 17, or 18? Guys, this is just proof that I didn't get AI to do it. >> Yeah, we have to have some human error. Okay, yeah. That one's for the the old heads out there that remember. It is also a question of why do you know that? I don't know. Where has Ethereal not hosted an event? This is like an ACT question. Not. Okay, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, or New York City.

You guys have all been to our events, right? >> [laughter] >> Yeah, most of you have. Okay, I think there's three more. Yeah. What is FE? Smart contract programming language, token swapping protocol, a layer two solution, or Ethereum 2.0 client. A strong metal. Iron, yes. There we go. Most people got it. Iron, as in rust. As in Solidity language based on Rust. Yes.

I don't know if it's used anymore. I don't think it is. Oh, okay, right on. All right. It's still close. I think it's anyone's game. Second last question. PBS. Lead Sorry, lead lead sulfide, Proxmark's backup server, a proposed builder separation, and Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

Okay, everyone got that. Good work. >> Unanimous. >> Even with my typo. All right. Last question. Let's see. Oh, this is this is all going to come down to speed here. Which is not a ZK-EVM implementation? OpenVM, Surge, Risk Zero, Zisk. Oh, my bad. All right, here we go. Here's the results.

Third place, Alrug. Let's go. Number two, my mom. She's killing it. And number one, Marius. Good work, everybody. Thank you for playing. Everyone gets a POAP prize, which is in that seat back there. So, if you haven't collected it, just for being here, you get a POAP. So, >> [snorts] >> enjoy. Thank you. >> for sticking around for this. >> Yes, we appreciate you.
