02:40 - EthStaker vision and goals

hey there i'm uh hank the user known as superfiz uh i want to talk a little today about the eath staker community and what it means to me and what it might mean for you so to begin with i need to let you know that the eath staker community is not an accident it didn't just arrive one day and magically everyone's here and we're doing staking the east staker community has been something that i along with several of my friends have been working on for almost two years now and the thing that's important to share with you is it's not an accident where we have a lot of goals and really one primary

goal and that is to make staking a user-friendly opportunity for ethereum holders and you're going to say fizz fizz wait staking's hard i don't know how to run that software um i get it like i know that we are in the infancy of staking clients um but what i'm proud of is the knowledge that the east acre community has brought complicated software to the users in a way that we're even having the discussion about novice users using it and again that was not a mistake i envision and have envisioned for a long time

the east acre community being the most uh welcoming ethereum community anywhere and so basically what that means is when a new user comes into any of our communities wherever they are that we extend a welcome to them we ask them how we can help them we listen carefully to their questions and we give them deep and insightful responses that don't overwhelm them and so it's always amusing to me when a relatively new user joins the eath staker community and kind of goes off the rails and

uh drops this you know read the manual crap to new users because that's not who we are um it's not who i will allow us to be i don't have a lot of control but but i do as a leader of eastaker i set the tone for the entire ecosystem and the eath staker ecosystem is a friendly community first and a knowledgeable community second and now if you want to join me in that community i i encourage you to espouse those values and even more to share them with others so when you're anywhere in an easter egg or community you are

03:25 - Expectations of EthStaker community

kindly reaching out to new users you're taking care of people you're recognizing the east acre is a home and not a pit stop and the difference on the internet is that a pit stop is somewhere search and find and get the answer and disappear but a home is somewhere where you look forward to going every day when you look forward to taking care of guests when you take pride in taking good care of your guests and from that perspective eatstaker is a home to many users and so i know that like when you come to an east acre community it looks like anything else so you come to re staker and you're like oh this is just another reddit

04:05 - Why this isn't Just another's subbed it

um and i get that but my hope is that as a user who reads uh comments and interactions on each taker someone could quickly interpret that we're different that there's something different about us and that is that um we care deeply about the success of other users not just participating in an internet forum um that we're actually invested in everyone's success um so i know there are a lot of communities that have like this it's a standard of civility i'm not looking for a standard of civility

06:23 - Higher standard of civility.

that is not the standard we set for ourselves the standard we set for ourselves is an order of magnitude higher than the standard of civility it is a standard of treating other users like close friends as in giving them the resources that we have that we would want to receive and i know that we have that capacity i don't expect new users to come in to have any any prior knowledge or have read anything about staking maybe there's you know someone who participated in the pre-sale and hasn't looked at ethereum in five years and they walk in and say how do i stake

that is a user who is potentially a part of our future family and it's someone who i'd like to take care of and help them understand and offer them comfortable resources um and so again i just i know that the best service that i a superfiz can provide our community is to set this tone of caring for our community like we care for family and i have to be honest what you know is superfiz uh my avatar like this is an avatar i'm a real person i

get angry i throw fits i get pissy um but the standard that i bring to eat staker is something beyond that it is a forgiving welcoming kind always eager to take care of other users and i just want to welcome you as members of our community to share those values um as we move forward i know that we are going to to build a long-term stable welcoming community and honestly i'm glad to have you there with us so thanks super fizz out
