Description: This session introduces optimistic rollups by comparing Plasma and state channels with a newer generation of layer-2 approaches, including ZK rollups and optimistic rollups. It asks how optimistic rollups work, how much they can help Ethereum scale, what security considerations they introduce, and how close they were to practical use at the time of the talk.
