ready to go good morning everyone it's great to be here my name is Michael Wheeler I'm one of the founders of infuria and uh super excited to share the stage today that was super inspiring from Kevin just just before us um I'm an ECC alumni I was here three years ago I'm not you know I don't know what happened the last three years that precluded me from coming back but I'm here again I'm excited to be here

but let's get right down to it um I'd actually uh let's look up first how many of you saw this image last week this is a photo from the James Webb Telescope along with many more that kind of circulated the internet gave us a view of the universe like we've never seen before every time we see or think of space it's easy to think about how infinite it is but actually what it's showing us is how connected we really all are to me I always thought of web 3 as a somewhat similar so this is the universe that we created that we are creating

the next generation of connected technology but while it should connect us right now it can seem more infinite and incomprehensible than anything else the web 3 Revolution happened really fast so fast that it expanded into control of uncontrollable rate not to mention it's largely comprised of Open Source software decentralized infrastructure loose consensus and challenging governance however it's an it's an amazing space filled with new ideas forked ideas and even cloned ideas so the reason the space can some sometimes make us feel so isolated is

because all those other planets and stars are also distant and it seems like we'll never reach them so where are we at right now on whip three so this is a slide that I've borrowed from dap camp uh shows some of the developer tools in the space now of course inferior is there we pioneered uh decentralized AP ethereum API infrastructure today there are dozens of teams working on tooling this is just a few of them of course

metamask uh is there truffle some of the early tools at consensus that we built together and the universe continues to expand there are so many Innovative blockchain tools networks services and applications out there many more than are even represented on this on this diagram but interoperability can still seem light years away so that's what we're solving for at in fira we're at Gateway to blockchain development we announced the launch of infuria in

2016. at Devcon 2 in Shanghai six years ago it was with little Fanfare and lots of comments of like why are you doing this um but we announced that we would be completely free so any developer could instantly connect to the ethereum blockchain it was in fear for the people that was our catchphrase then I still remember that day vividly we were up pretty early that morning four or five in the morning after probably drinking a little too much that night before the ethereum network was under attack um and I witnessed how the goatherium team one of the protocol client teams who are

the unsung heroes of this entire space they make all of this work um and they quickly figured out the issue patched the code released the code waiting for you took that code deployed it got our service back up and running this went on for the next few months as a community it was so inspiring watching how the community fought together to make this continue to move forward and we're still going so six years later we just actually celebrated at our birthdays last Saturday in these six years our developer Community from zero zero being metamask

of course you all know metamask to four hundred thousand registered developers on our platform you all know these names on the screen but there's thousands more building today with inferior you'll know their name soon maybe next year's ethcc so our mission from the very beginning was to provide the best platform for Builders to keep scaling to allow developers to focus on building their software and not not worry about the underlying infrastructure to connect to ethereum network and that mission continues today

over the years we haven't boasted much in fact we've always felt a little uncomfortable at the systemic role we've played in the growth of this ecosystem however with our years of experience through the ups and downs and forks along the way we are the only RPC provider able to deliver the sheer scale and performance for the most demanding use cases and we've enabled hundreds of applications to scale to where they are today I'll call out a few items we've launched this year and I'll share more as we continue

in June we announced that we announced free archive data so archive data is uh it's very challenging to deliver the infrastructure requirements to run a full archive node are pretty pretty are pretty intense and but we also knew that like we wanted to deliver this archive data uh for everyone for free and so we did we did that just a few months ago and this is huge now anyone can get started immediately um building applications that require archival data or you can use an application like

rotkey that can leverage archive data and all that's free another feature that has been requested for a long time and I'm extremely excited to announce that we released just last week uh project sharing or account sharing so now you can share one of your account with multiple logins you can share access to these to the account with the rest of your team you can work together more more effectively that way this features especially valuable for Enterprises and large companies whose I.T policies forbid sharing logins with multiple

people also in June we announced that we're joining the world-class group of chain link node operators similar to our role as a maker Dow Oracle node Operator by joining the chain link inferior will provide the same level of robustness and reliability we are known for and contribute to the growing adoption of web 3. so at inferior we believe the future of web 3 we always believe the future of web 3 would be multi-chain it would have become more and more common for assets to reside on ethereum they'd be bridged to other networks used

on other networks the universe would continue to expand a little over a year ago we began to support palm and polygon and very shortly after that arbitrim optimism we believed in the multi-chain universe all chains are going to increase the utility and scalability of ethereum defy and wider self-sovereign movement that is at the heart of web 3. I'm excited to announce starting today Avalanche is being supported we're going to continue to add new networks as developer demand requests them if you're interested in getting early

access to Avalanche have your phone ready I'll put up a QR code at the end so you can join the private beta so many of you also believed that the multi-chain was going to be the future and if you're we are already seeing that our shared belief uh is coming to reality of our customers 40 of them are using at least one L2 and 20 are using multiple l2s and in the last two months or so we announced that we've added near and Stark net to the inferior platform we

aren't stopping there we constantly evaluate new decentralized networks for developer demand an evaluate our capacity to deliver the same level of quality you would expect from afira when we support a network this will help you expand your menu of scalable solutions for faster and cheaper transactions and in uh in the in the ethereum ecosystem so you can pick the right choice for your unique project so along with the new networks that we're supporting we of course have continued to reinforce and work on our existing networks ethereum being our first one

making it more robust more secure more stable more available and of course we're on the doorstep of the merge uh it's a huge step for the ecosystem our Engineers have been involved for many months working through how our infrastructure will evolve post merge for instance thousands of stakers rely on of hero today for their solar staking Tech stack post-merge all of that's going to change we are evaluating and helping our developer Community understand how those changes will impact them and making sure that they are prepared

for it this month we have a weekly um a weekly educational seminar session going on where we're helping our developers who are staking with us through with our ethereum endpoints ethereum two endpoints and make help making sure that they're migrated and ready to go in a month or two month or so's time and that's something you've all been asking for from our beginning six years ago we supported ipfs which has become the de facto standard for immutable decentralized storage last month at nft NYC

we launched our nft API Tools in beta nfts powerful new forms of digital media merging technology and art unlike ever before nfts offer creators a whole new way to monetize directly with their fans in 2021 nfts were the driving force behind the mass social and cultural adoption of web 3. the estimated nft Creator Revenue in 2021 was 3.9 billion USD by 22 400 creators averaging 174 000 US dollars per creator we want to continue to empower creators

and Developers and unlock your creative power just last week Reddit launched their avatars built on polygon and stored on ipfs inferior tools including our recently released dedicated URL Gateway for pinned ipfs content and API access to L2 Networks enable you to build things just like this we are super excited to see Reddit and so many others enabling creators in an entirely new way thank you when those satellite photos of our

Cosmos were published NASA administrator Bill Nelson knew that they had captured something special we take dreams and turn them into reality for the benefits of humanity that's what he said about NASA's Mission I can't wait to see the discoveries that we uncover the team is just getting started I know we all feel the same way about web 3 and collaborating together we can explore map out and build our universe together we are optimistic about the future of web 3 at empira we've been through the ups and downs before and while the mainstream turns their attention away from us we continue to build the next wave of adoption will be

ushered in by what you guys are building today so thank you very much if you'd like to learn more please visit us at inferior.io follow me on Twitter um and as promised I'll put the QR code up if you'd like access to the Avalanche beta and I guess I have a little bit of time for some questions [Applause] hello I'm in the wake of additional like decentralized RPC offerings like pocket

and anchor does inferior have any plans to create something more decentralized in the future yeah that's a awesome question and absolutely so for years five or six years we've talked about it it's the big elephant in the room like uh it's a it's a centralized provider to a decentralized network we've been working really hard on it for a long long time um we want to make sure that we build something that uh is is it the same level of quality that you get today with inferior so in fact I guess I could tease a little bit we're

planning a pretty big announcement at East Berlin in September along these same lines so yeah the the bottom line is yeah we want to deliver a decentralized solution to accessing blockchain data cool thanks and what are your thoughts about pocket a pocket's great yeah we work with them we it's a great um great technology I think you know I think the challenge with pocket is has always been the quality of the the responses you'll get so uh we look we do plan to continue to work with them along the way cool yep and how uh can you share how

many requests you guys process like on a monthly basis it's about 9 billion a day requests yeah cool thanks yep all right thank you very much [Applause]
