he's got a report of the issue of bug bounty program actually we had a the most serious bug and that da Gama was part of a team we just just so we didn't mention the wall was a good cause was until our name our small country fully migrated because there was an attack pack that that people could have take advantage okay so we we kept this secret but yesterday we just released so now I can talk about it powerful detail you can read this medium post and so what happened is yes consists of three component registry resolver and the registrar and the registry is basically

a dictionary where it stores order your ENS name and if you ask for a u.s. name it returns me so call resolver resolver has a logic to reserve address so like if it's I want a same address format open door he's fascinating ask is registry and so how you resolve the addresses and also how you register new names is done by registra registrar the resolver upgradability in mind so again this is actually quite smart way of having some sort of upgradability logic in immutable smart contra but it's it's a bit like proxy model which is quite popular in smile contragravity the proxy

registry so if your wallet in if type migrated OS this example in meta mask it resolved to this address but if whatever the other DNS the wall that you are using migrated TNS but if it's not resolving this address highly likely that they have migrated so you should report to them to upgrade and yeah this was the example that this is all DNS manager this one is migrated hence you can see the reservoir information but this legacy app Sarge door SH still pointing to the old one so you can't resolve the migrated is that's what I wanted to show and

they actually like I went to East a hackathon event and one of the developer approached to me that actually you can be resolved or ETH on the internet through handshake so that you can basically created example that if you did a tick command to beat a victor is they actually resolved in a DNS server you can do this in two ways one if you have a handshake full node or like client in Europe in your laptop and if you change the resolver address point to that or someone like big player like Google Star resolve being handshake name in space so that's a top status quo solution what

domain a top-level domain no I don't think it did know anything about Syria so we create a way that if you create create a text record on such as a desk awareness under your domain and if you put the same address there we have from an NS manager you there's a way to press a button and we retrieve retrieve the DNS record information from internet and we turn into the proof and there's a way that anyone can prove that this same address belongs to this domain so once you do that you can actually have the same as a DNS name and then we store XYZ and this logic can apply to pretty much

over 90% of the internet world so our aim is to implement that across pretty much all the major top-level domain so you could say you know if you your precious name is squatted by squatters you rather than try to get on door 88 you could just say semi is too calm or whatever the domain you are on so that's a fast level it's like anyone can do we approach but by integrating with the top-level domain such as door locks add a creative but so setting up these process on XYZ is relatively complex so they simply find out if they buy the deluxe domain they give you X so by DNS getting dns free

that's kind of level two we already announced last year they are already doing so this kind of reflects into the number of adoption in the names that XYZ have less than hundred names registered but don't locks because it's relatively easy he has I think four or five hundred names registered but this is second level two level three is the ENS you can say ENS address but and then you can also say ipfs pecker but we you can also use as a just no more dictionary so you can add a ad-hoc key and the body store so this to our domain does the integration that when you get at all our domain you can set the text record on the NS and they do some integration

world happening right now and so that's kind of pretty much it on my talk but one more one thing I want to remind you is that for people who are the only people who bought in this name before we migrated permanently registra yeah so AB you guys all migrated ok if you have a migrated when we didn't register migration we actually migrated for you so you actually haven't didn't have to do anything but even though it did it it just keeps the same expiration date which is the major force 2020 and also I actually migrated to the new system on

the day so the earliest expire a ssin coming is this day and if yeah so most people have to start prepping for you know renewal and as you know we are kind of hardcore decentralize whatever stuff so we don't have any sort of a notification whatsoever so pragmatic advice is just put into your calendar or this when you renew you we knew as long as you like so mean if you're putting okay no we knew for 99 years probably in your lifetime you don't have to renew that's another way and also this kind of indicates the lack of you know notification capability and I started seeing that people start
