EVM Extensions: The Path to First-Class Precompiled Contracts

Name: EVM Extensions: The Path to First-Class Precompiled Contracts
Duration: 16 min 24 s
Description: Federico Kunze Küllmer presents a path toward first-class precompiled contracts as EVM extensions at Devconnect Istanbul 2023, covering how precompiles let complex operations like cryptographic functions run more cheaply than equivalent Solidity code. The talk discusses what it would take to make adding new precompiles a more standardized part of EVM evolution.
