of the grant xpl program uh 1 billion xrp person for distributed grants here right and then she can walk through more about the the the GRS program okay thank you very much [Applause] great thank you so much Sylvio uh I you're making me sound much more uh important I'm not the the the person who's um in charge of the entire pot of money so but some of it some of it um uh and I'll and I'll be speaking only in English because um unfortunately I haven't learned Portuguese but I would like to learn Portuguese and come back and and I love Rio this has been a

beautiful city so I'm so excited to be here um yeah and I'd love to tell you more about the grand program and what we're doing here in Brazil uh we have just today announced a really exciting new fund we're looking to really invest and support in startups here in Brazil uh so on the xrpl grants website we now have a Brazil specific application so I encourage you to go there and and take a look and apply um if you want to come visit us at the booth uh the xrpl booth after this um grab a flyer um we can share more about the the the the program um we'll also have support available both in English and Portuguese

so if you are interested in applying one of our team members um our kind of direct program Team all speaks English but some of our our program uh members can also um support in Portuguese so please apply and if you need support um we're happy to to find a way to support you um in getting your applications together uh so um I'm the the grants program funds early stage uh startups that are leveraging The xrp Ledger since we've started we've funded uh almost 150 projects in 28 countries and have uh dispersed um awarded close to $15 million so looking to continue to do that and as you said

kind of uh you know continue to dull out the the xrp uh fund the 1 billion xrp fund um and today um we have funded um two new projects that we announced today that are in Brazil this is just the beginning of this Brazil fund that we've launched um uh the one of the teams is here today um uh with the go assets project and so I'm I'm thrilled to have them here today to share more about their project and and um why they chose to um apply to the extra peal grants program um so I invite um Fernando and Diego on stage to join us and and present their about

their [Applause] project this is for you go back thank you almost um H first of all thank you uh thanks for having us it's a pleasure it's a

great thank you it's a great St for us and we're very happy uh to be partnering with u xrp Ledger in Brazil here thank you here we go so first 10 minutes here very fast uh the two of us leading go blockchain and hii probably well known by lots of deves here in Brazil he's uh leading the tech and the product part of the business I'm Fernando I'm leading um the go market and operation sides of the business we have lots of experience but even with that experience we look for experienced people in the market to drive and to give us advice device on this on this

path that we are traing so we have um Google uh we have n Bruno and we have honey which are entrepreneurs and very high level uh individuals in the market here it's a little bit of our solution like we focus on the customer like we're blockchain company uh but we almost focusing on what the customer wants and we always talking about more Revenue less costs or more customer that's what makes sense in any commercial conversation that we have so our solution here allows anyone to create negotiate distribute uh those tokens uh through like any platform they

want here a little bit of a in more details of what we provide it's an end platform it's a size solutions for for other companies so we we provide a full uh full service like from integration through a white label platform or apis uh social logins we know it's a it's a problem taking to web three projects the toomics uh QC process distribution negotiation wallet management um payments like many of the customers like they have the token they have the platform they say okay how my customers are going to buy it we integrated to a payment solution and we provide Pig CR car and crypto payments through that

payment solution and we also uh have the custard process all in place for any uh component that want hire our services here it's where we're going so go blockchain is a ecosystem and expanding we have go tokens which our platform go Lage that's where we started and we're most well known for so we have um L programs and we calling a digal digital uh support program for uh sports clubs and now we're creating go assets which is going to be a vertical and we're going to focus first in credit card receivables we have other uh let's say Financial products to go but we're

going to start with credit card receivables and we're going to Leverage The xrp Ledger to build this uh this vertical here as we see the the actual market so customers they have some options to uh anticipate the receivables and they go to Banks acquires uh FX and also the uh use fedix in terms of higher volumes we see it as expensive disorganized um requires in some cases especially for the fedics a very high volume it's inefficient and sometimes there is a long length of in terms of uh the

operation the way we you're building it that's going to be very straightforward so we're going to have clients and we're going to bring them straight to investment funds so we going to have operations where the client will register an intention which is the taker want should borrow money uh and then we have the funds also register the intentions on lending or uh borrowing money for those uh takers once that is matched that goes true a flow which is uh even though we could build everything in terms of B and blockchain but CVM doesn't all does not allow us to go all

that way so we're going to have to go to qac there's going to be an askro account connected to a financial institution no money goes through go blockchain um there's going to be a fiduciary agents looking through that operation also uh there's an or article to to uh monitor the the the the take rates and how uh the investors should be paid there's going to be aable locking process through CC uh that's very important to give more safety in terms of how the investors uh would be interested in those uh operations and also there's going to be a matching engine where uh those informations where

we have borrowers or takers we're going to be match it and automatically uh placed uh in terms of of uh Landing that operation and finish that operation why we choosing uh exerp lger uh for us it's quite simple in terms of how this has been built and how it's been uh growing Through The Years so it's one of the top five protocols in the world very high level of tech uh and governance more than three 30 billion uh US Dollars transactions up today more than five million active users uh lower costs in terms of transactions and also we we're looking to this tax and amm uh

platforms to to leverage our operation not only locally but internationally in the future so that's it thank you [Applause] again thank you we're yeah we can go into questions we were going to do a little bit of a Fireside chat and ask them some questions but we can um we can let them take the hot seats here and then we'll we'll ask you some questions uh just introducing myself I'm the uh product lead and the developer behind all of these one of the developers uh our team uh is uh is great and please keep going wonderful yeah I

I'm interested just as a a quick note how did how did you decide to come together as a team and and build this project together so uh as uh valica said we uh have been a team for around two or three years uh building uh this loyalty program and this program uh is a a great idea we had and we uh found a lot of uh Enterprises interested in at that and and now that he we buil uh this big project and we uh had over 15 uh 50 uh companies uh behind that we saw a great

opportunity to this uh Market uh for the financial uh world and we are heading over there because we believe this is a an operation that the blockchain can uh uh be a great infrastructure in terms of transparency and liquidity so uh that's why we headed that way wonderful um I'd love to learn a little bit more about each of your backgrounds kind of um how you um what you you know your your academic your experience leading up to this um joining this project uh so I grew up uh here in uh Rio de Janeiro uh I learned uh I

studied in a Germany school and then I graduated at WJ it it is a federal University here in Brazil uh then I came along with a lot of uh Enterprises Junior enterpris that are uh Enterprises that the UF R uh uh simulates and then I came to uh Bank uh I work at at btg and eventually we I met uh enik uh enik the CEO uh in a startup we we worked on and I ended here working for

uh I'm work for go blockchain since uh 20 20 2020 like so and that's my background there we go um business um Administration uh that was my background study um I helped to build like three companies from very little people to many more people and much more uh tpv terms of the payment total payment volume so I work at maralago and maralago had 40 people really tough it's like the same similar way that we're building uh the blockchain environment right now then iay 12 people we built it

to 200 million R monthly then I went to uh another company called adenus I was it was a f pH finance company uh in they were from Panama they were sold to the US competitors called payi from there we we launched go blockchain as the model as we have today but I was not working fulltime I was a it was an investor and a board member only uh before I joined go blockchain I was the head of uh zero hash latan that gave me a good perspective on how like companies are looking to blockchain

crypto and the whole scenario um and from there uh since nine months right now I'm full-time working as a COO for go blockchain cool well thank you U I'd love to know a little bit about uh why you decided to apply to xpal Grants and um what was your experience what would you recommend if someone else is interested in applying to the program um s Mr your blame um we we have been talking for nearly a year like I I like to me because I come from a payment background like it was The Ledger that most makes sense for me in terms of experience so we've been talking for nearly a year like I met

from your president to anyone in your company I know a lot of people there and he was uh like in terms of company business it was a pretty easy way and an interesting way for us in terms of scaling the business and seeing the opportunities that your ecosystem uh can deliver to us uh and can help us to to build what we're building um that that's the that's the case here that's the how we got here yeah yeah please please my my thank you not to conclude the session just to thank you for being our partner yeah and

we trying to uh i' like to also to people if people probably know guys know already Abner our famous developer advocate here in the region if Abner can say like I say hi to everyone here and then it's a good way to uh to start as well to go to Abner starting to discussing how the ledger works so we have like a Brazilian person here so talking speaking Portuguese right portol Spanish yeah everything so yeah please for talk to AB there so you guys can uh know more about the the the blockchain but continue this was like a this like a sponsor now can now can contining no if you have questions too you're welcome um thank you uh I'm I'm interested to know um what are you

really excited about um what do you think is unique about developing and building a a a blockchain business in Brazil working you know leveraging the blockchain um and what are you excited to see what kind of what kind of things do you want to see um um being built and and happening within this um this ecosystem hard question hard question uh uh I'm um I can personally say uh as a as a company too uh we are very excited that uh repo is here uh with Brazilian representants and we have this uh local support and we are uh very excited with

this uh entrepreneurship uh uh with you guys uh as uh uh the question was more what do we expect from the markets right yeah what are you excited about seeing you know what what do you think is unique um you know what what kind of other projects do you want to see developing um uh I think we want the economy and the blockchain be uh with uh receive even more uh people than the just the ones that already are in the web Tree World so uh the easiest uh we can get make uh so the the users get to the web

tree and this uh defy environment uh the better we are working for uh because our main focus must be the the customers and so on uh so our life our uh goal is to make the these environment uh more user friendly and so on so the uh I would say that um did anyone here made a payment through an e-commerce in 2009 do you remember how the experience was like you had to pay and you have to pay for that payment to be uh process it and then the payment was

not integrated to the customer experience it was not integrated to the stock it was not integrated to anything and it was a mess like I was there uh building that helping to build uh but as I was building I had a great feeling that that was the future of payments it was very clear to me that was the F the future of payments I have the same feeling right now like in terms of how blockchain uh can provide an infrastructure for the new Financial Services like that are going to be built or are in place to bring more efficient I feel the same way we are not well connected right now we have some uh

change to make we have some Integrations to make we have to bring the people from let's say the web to world uh once that happens uh this will take off why en K and that's that's what we're building for that's what we rri like retrieving that's why we're making this sort of Partnerships uh blockchain is going to be the new layer of financial services in the planet like that's it that's great thank you yeah excited to see what what's going to be happening um moving forward in the new Innovations and changes um I'll just ask one more question um if you know

what what are your biggest challenges as a startup as a growing business um and maybe any advice that you have to others that are um also building and you know looking for funding and um growing their businesses so the first challenge is to like we we talk to customers like to companies that want to hire our services on a daily basis first of all no one's understand anything of what we're doing it's crazy like when we we start your bringing block chain or crazy words or words related to the web tree environment like people just get lost um we learned from all these conversations

that companies want uh less costs more revenue or more customers and that's what we focusing for the past year like we're building a solution to address more Revenue less costs more customers that's how we told on a daily basis it doesn't matter if it's blockchain blockchain is there because it's more efficient it brings more um efficienc to the process uh so this is the first challenge the Second Challenge is uh regulations like regulations are taking place and people are waiting or at word or that's like there's a feeling that I

don't know what to do so as soon as regulations are in place I think this will grow uh in a different speed like we grow much better um and I think that's that's the the two main things from like commercial and go-to Market perspective do you want to talk about product and Tech learning just it so uh the developer uh as a developer view uh we suffer much more from the uh bureaucracy behind it that from the uh developer difficulty because the developer difficulty uh we are not making something that no one ever

achieved it we are just making it with a new technology so the way to make this is uh clear for us but uh as uh valica said there are some uh difficulties in the process uh we have to pass and and that's it I think uh do you have any advice or really for the starters I have a a quick question on to keeping the technical side is more how how was uh uh how easy or difficult was uh to learn of The Ledger I mean how different it is like uh we are trying to uh uh we're trying to bring this uh to the

audience about the the evm side chain I think that's is development that The Ledger the community developing so can you like give an idea about how is the experience on this uh it's very different because when you came when you come from a solidity uh mindset that ah we have to write a smart contract uh and think about all the process and always about meeting in nft when and how we were going to meet this nft so when we met uh The Ledger The xrp Ledger we fought H oh my God totally different uh world but we saw that is uh more complex but Al also uh some cases

more simple to build because is already built in The Ledger so to main an ft is just one transaction you don't have to write a contract and this contract you don't have to believe that is a right contract so there are many uh advantage to use uh this uh Native Solutions so we are glad to to be part of the grant so we can uh in fact to build these Solutions uh with xrp and uh I forgot my line of thinking but we are glad and we think uh it is going to uh developer well uh with us uh this line of development is going to be much

easier and uh there is also the xrm P Ledger learn uh learn program that is awesome because it do just don't uh learn you don't learn just how xrp works but You' learn everything about blockchain so we can H get a newcomer in our company and uh uh guide them to this uh website you have so it's a a great uh great uh enter points for them also thank you um just I this conversation about the blockchain and everything to me it's crazy but I'll give you the other

perspective I would say 5% of the customers that we talk to they worried about the blockchain we're building the other 95% they don't care as long as you bringing the solution to them they don't care like and and that's what we're talking here like we're talking about extra Pion bringing the right solution for the product we're making we're producing and we're going to deliver like it's that's that should be the focus only like so we're bringing Solutions that's it like it's the best solution for the customers 95% of them they don't even know they don't even understand what's the blockchain and whatever it's going on there they just want the solution yeah it's because this

is what uh rippo believes as well that uh uh the world is a multi chain right so rippo want to be part of this and helping the ledger to succeed but also to communicate inter inter communicate interoperate with other uh uh networks and then that's why we are people say oh kind very interesting how ethereum brand and XP Ledger choose different soccer teams I say soccer team they are like a the same like a flamingo vas right the flamingo F the same like a right the same event because we believe that uh we are creating this bridge so we uh uh and also representing the community of X Ledger we created a bridge so we uh uh

there's a evm side chain a very important project where is going to connect the Two Worlds except Ledger with the ethereum and also the other ethereum partners uh uh uh evm compatible uh networks I think I think we're at time but thank you so much this is wonderful here about your project congratulations again we're so excited to have you as part of the program and um I just want to point out we you um uh Doo mentioned um a a platform that we have um called learn um it's the xrpl learning platform learn. xr. org um happy to write it down if you want to come by um but it's a great way if you just want to take some
