hello hello everyone i'm very happy to be here again it's it's amazing to see people with three dimensions and and finally after one year we can do it so well thank you and thank you for being here because right now the metallic stock is downstairs so this is more valuable for me so thank you my name is eduardo antonia i am the pre-lead and one of the co-founders of dublot and today i would like to explain a little what is the role of dom not on ethereum 2.0 and also why we think we do we need to do something about hardware decentralization so i would like to start talking about
the damn mission and the project started at the end of the 2017 and grief and giordie balina pushed me and helped me help me to make this project a reality they realized that at that moment we have been building decentralized technologies but in the in the house of centralized hardware infrastructure so programming is that when you create decentralized technology and you use incentivized service providers party providers you we are committing the same mistakes that in the past so that is why we create damn not with the idea to create a human-centric decentralized hardware infrastructure
and the vision of darknet is to have a sovereign digital society from the very beginning we believe that damnot is a public good and the purpose of them not is to put together people and projects and put the value of decentralized technology in the hands of these two groups making easy for users to run nodes at home but also helping projects to have this exposure and make it easy for users to ask to be part of these decentralized networks um if we take a look to the east 2.0 decent goals um during orion has deployed these five system designs and especially in the third
in the third in the first one the second one and third one a damn note has a lot of importance an important role to play first of all because of the centralization we expect to people to be running necessarily nodes at laptops and that is why because we want to have a decentralized network and so download is perfect to accomplish that vision uh the resilience is the another important point of this network because we want to have notes not only on bps providers so that means that if you want to have a truly centralized network you need to have this distribution otherwise if you have one
trans note on aws for me that's not the centralization at all and they can cut you cut down the service at any moment and obviously the security due to the large participation and that is why it's so important to have as much as possible and as much as possible distributed so what happened when student dupont make the launch well it was a breaking point for for damn not it changed everything for us because all the work that previously we have been done is when it really materialized we were able to onboard people without technical knowledge to be part of the
network to be able to participate in the network and we also play a role of uh as an education project because this kind of people doesn't have enough technical knowledge so for us it was important to educate them let them know how how we can be part of this network and these are our numbers right now we have around 2000 validators running on damn nodes that means that is approximately 1000 million in total value locket and well we don't have metrics because for us the privacy of the user is the most important thing but we make a context in which we ask people to put us a graffiti the tab network and that is why we know how many
nodes are right now around the around the wall running i need to validate for sure but we are not perfect for sure and we want to improve all the things that we are trying to provide for the syrian 2.0 network and that is why we want to add more client more clients to ethereum uh more client-official to them not um right now we only support prism but it's because we as a as a requirement to have a web ui because one of our uh requirements is not to be able to run a command line to be able to be part of the network but we are working actively to make that happen to have as much uh clients as possible because we believe that the receiving of the
network is not just decentralization it's also diversity of clients and that is why this is our short-term goal and we are trying to work with clients to make this happen as soon as possible but if we think about again the the goals of uh dupont 2.0 we need to think about if we are really decentralized um well in these numbers from may you can see that one third of the network is in the hands of uh top five players and as i i as saw before we are around 100 percent and we believe that this is not enough um the generalization uh brings some uh
risks to the user for example we we know that uh one of the biggest slashing are happening to pull to these sticky pools and also the loss of some kids was a big problem for the network in damned we have a motor is decentralized until it hurts centralized until it works so that is why we believe that we need to find a balance between centralization and decentralization and in the balance is where we can find the perfect solution for these ecosystems so that is why we create the dubno dao because um as i mentioned this ethereum to launch was a breaking point for us
we realized that we have more than a community our people around us started helping each other they start to have their own life around the project they start to push in changes they start to helping each other without our help and we have the feeling that this dao is not just a doubt it's the evolution of a community usually other doubts are creating doubts and expecting people to join the dao but this is their best situation we are we are creating a dao from a community and that is the thing that brings more value to us to give them a voice allowing them to be part of this but we also have
more reasons to create a dao for example if you are an indie developer and in the validator you can you can have this feeling of be along in the dark or in the middle of the sea because you are playing with the big entities uh to be part of this network so that is why we create this now we want to join the voice of all these indie validators that are helping to decentralize to really decentralize this network and we want to put their boss into the table with all of the big players this is a matter of it's not a word this is a matter to have all the same incentivization and to be all with the align with the same future ambition of the network that that is why
we want to create this network uh of this dao to allow them to be part of this um what what's the future of the dubnodal well we create the concept of another node stream uh with not a string we want to have a expanding economy the idea is that we are giving this another stream to different actors on the system and we give them this token to be able to participate on the network in um in america that the ecosystem is growing so the idea is to be able to plug in this node stream to those who make sense that get this reward one of the important pieces of our community
when it seemed to happen it was the community tertiary good idea from paul and and the thing around community treasury is that we use source credit to incentivize or reward people that were part of the of this community and help each other so it's a good way to give them a reward for the work to make this ecosystem grow it's an incredible successfully in and i think it was one of the most important part of of the growth of our community we also want to incentivize this node runner with the north stream mainly the idea that we want to achieve with that is um as we saw you have you can have a
reason to run a ceiling 2.0 because you have a reward to to run it but for example you don't have a reward for running a monitor node or ring kb node or other important pieces of the network so with that we want to incentivize directly to the node runners we when we think about the data at the beginning of the project we expect uh to have several projects to giving you incentivization so that means that you can get some revenue from that i'm not but we realized that that's not happening yet so that is why we decide to directly incentivize the people that are running hardware at home and finally about the future of the dump node we want to create a trashless pool
of validator we have around the wall around 100 1000 nodes we expect that um we can take it from the people and put into the hand of these people that are currently maintaining us they are willing to be part of the network and they are willing to make this work for others so it's just a matter to take this ether and put into the into their hands for that we are exploring the ssb and also rocket pool for example but the idea is to just to do that to put all the players in the same table but that notice is beyond s2 um we we expect to have a truly decentralized procedure network
that is run only by um hardware decentralized hardware and this is that we expect that it's going to happen very very soon and we can expect to announce in the coming tweets um to be part of the of the damn dao we are using a snapshot as a technology and so that means that to be able to participate you need to stake in our pools and and also when you are based on on one of our pools the thing that is happening is that you are getting another stream that means that you are a long-term contributor to their project we want to have people that is committed to the cause for a long period not just one day or two days so yeah to the map we started a damn note
as an open source project and a small small open source project but now this uh small project has become a community already known has become a dao but now i think this is more than that it's just a movement and we expect that all the people that are interested to be part of this movement can help us and bring more value to the community so thank you and see you soon are the aprs are the aprs real yeah for sure
yeah there's a 2 000 apr yeah that's true that's the number okay um i have a dap node which i received as a gift and i have not set it up yet it's still in the box [Laughter] because i because i was thinking i don't have enough money to stake eth2 but now you're talking about this so you're so is that something that like me with a dap note in my living room like i could go and become part of one of these pools so i can stake whatever small amount of eat i have and not have to have it not have to be a whale in order to stake e2 exactly that that is the point to be
able to take a kind of length of the daw so you can validate with a teeth and you can get a reward because you are providing a service to the network even if you don't have that among those either okay and which like where do we go to like sign up for that or when i start up my dap note does it actually pull something up no well that is the thing that we are going to start to build in the in the uh okay in the next weeks and months uh we announced the dow this friday okay all right thank you thank you for your token uh well we have a very
good article explaining that but um in for example we have a distribution in which uh the eleven percent of the token total supply is going to be distributed uh using this node stream and this liquidity pools we also have a reservation of the eleven percent of for the incentivize the ed to pull but at the end this is a governance token it's not a utility we expect people to use this token to be part of the network and make proposals and assistant device developers and users and every everyone that is part of the network so it's not a tokenomics itself it's not a system it's just a community a movement um regarding that yeah definitely like
check out the the node economy article um but also one of the most important or or defining things about this this economy this token economy right now is that it's it's slowly expanding so it's it started with 10 percent of the of the tokens um available uh untradable but slowly linearly over three years this economy keeps expanding thanks to the note stream so both the people that have received a note drop because they were contributors from that note because they have a dab note um you probably also have a note drop as well and you don't even know it but these people will be receiving this note stream over three years um
so as soon or as as long as the or at the same time as the dab no dow increases in value takes more projects has more um or more more utility more people around the economy will also be expanding at the same time thank you thanks for your presentation um i guess my question uh pertains to security like have you noticed anything uh wrong with upstream or downstream notes and people cheating the system not for now we found some problems at
the beginning with ipfs because at some points it breaks routers without any reason because well that is part of the goal of that i'm not but in general uh since people at home usually have this home reuter they usually don't have any problem to buy it i have some friends that they just plug in the hardware and put it and they forget about the dom nut and it's working quite well on the sense thank you welcome thank you you
