thank you so much for the beautiful introduction um can I get a round of hands who here is jet lagged anyone who here is uh sleep deprived yeah this is a token event all right is anyone still drunk from last night okay we got The Right audience so uh my name is Daniel Grove and typically I'm a filmmaker I'm a writer director producer I spent 10 years in Hollywood I've had films Premiere at Sundance at Khan bowling alley I've worked with Studios like Sony MGM Netflix the whole shebang but about 12 months ago
if he would have told me that I'd been standing here before you today as a tech founder I would have told you to go jump off a building if you'd have told me 12 months ago that I'd be standing on the stage talking to you as a tech founder in the crypto space I would have said go find a taller building to jump out of if you'd have told me that 12 months ago today I'd be standing in front of you as a co-founder of a Lifestyle brand built on the blockchain and utilizing nfts I would have told you what the ft is an nft and so as someone who is passionate about culture and super interested in
all forms of technology I fell down a rabbit hole called non-fungible tokenism and what I discovered is that nfts are about so much more than jpegs in fact once I wrap my head around the three pillars of non-fungible tokenism which for me are the art the community and the road map I realized that you could use nfts to literally build anything you create a collection of art that broadly symbolizes an idea you form a community with shared values around that art and you push that Community together
with the art towards a common goal despite all of that though there's one thing I've been my entire adult life and That's a hardcore techno nerd I grew up here in Singapore dancing in zuke and now I live in Berlin which is arguably the capital of dance music and I've been hanging out with crypto crowd for a while for a number of years now and there's something I noticed about the crypto crowd they like to party they like they like to party and what do they listen to when they party electronic music heck you don't need to ask me even Elon Musk himself calls himself the Techno King you can go Google Elon Musk
and techno King so my co-founders and I saw an opportunity an opportunity to connect all of the disparate pieces of the electronic music world the DJs the clubs the promoters the fashion designers the artists and put them on chain and make something larger than the sum of their parts to create a reward system and unlock value for all involved so electronic music has grown from a subculture to a global phenomenon it's the second biggest genre after hip-hop in the world
and if anyone's heard Beyonce's new album it sounds like Kylie Minogue Circa 2003 and that's called house music baby today tens of millions of people travel to see the world's top DJs clubs festivals and the rise of crypto has brought with it a well-heeled digitally native crowd more connected to the global party scene than ever before for over 40 years electronic musicians have been at the Forefront of culture and Technology this makes it an ideal candidate for Mass adoption of blockchain it's called techno for a reason I mean go ask the Techno King
but don't let me do all the Talking let's let the toys speak for themselves can I get the video to play [Music] [Music] foreign [Music]
this one's a show-off so they didn't make it as the Tickle Me Elmos they didn't make it as the Cookie Monsters they were rejected toys and they spent their time partying anywhere they were accepted from Berlin to Burning Man to token 2049 and they were notorious for their party stamina but then suddenly the dance floors went empty the tours ended the clubs went silent we all know what happened and the lost Club toys haven't been seen again until now the rumor is that they've been spotted on the blockchain and they're minting to Dance Forever in
the metaverse now the Lost Club toys a 3D animated Avatar nfts at the core of a creative economy that's centered around the fan partner relationship we are partnering with DJs music producers clubs festivals fashion designers even visual artists and tattoo designers to create the ultimate Community for fans offering unprecedented access to their heroes in new ways to express their fandom on and offline these new forms of Engagement unlock new revenue streams for our partner network
with no additional effort for this side returning nft holders from fans into super fans and making sure they have fun whilst doing it the more you engage the more you access and the more rewards you receive for example if you own one of our special edition DJ limited collections avatars you have a tour calendar for that DJ and you can request you can request a spot on their guest list for any of their events the more events you go to the more access you get you can hang out with a DJ in the booth you can go to the after party receive a vital or an invitation to Fashion Week or whatever the artist
wants this way we're incentivizing fans to get more out of what they love whilst helping our partners in the process and it works for the parties the same way for instance if you buy one of our Amber Lounge limited edition lost Club toys I should say selling this weekend you gain access to all of Amber lounge's events worldwide the more access the more you access the events the more benefits and the contract upgrades the toy your toy could learn a dance move that it got from that nightclub or get a piece of digital fashion branded from that nightclub or even more perks like an invitation to secret events
in fact the ecosystem is giving value back to fans to the clubs and the festivals to the artists to the fans who want to be artists as well as the nft investors who want to build with the artwork and so on that note our nfts follow what's called Creative Commons zero that means the holders are not limited in the way that they can exploit the artwork if you want to start a chicken rice store with our toy go for it or if you want to pitch an animation to Netflix Bob's your uncle if you want to use our toy to be the next creator of baby shark and get into
the billion dollar kids animated music video industry we'll help you get there and so not only are we helping known artists by giving secondary revenue streams but also we're building ways to Champion those in the community who want to become established artists themselves so why now the truth is that gen Z has moved online younger audiences consume and express their lives in digital ways that traditional businesses just can't keep up with it's not just about growth it's about survival the electronic music industry top six billion dollars in 2021
that is expected to Triple by 2030. creating major revenue streams on the blockchain is a no-brainer for this industry and so we're building a community based on behavior that already exists the behavior is just scattered and untapped our community is going to zook tonight they're buying plane tickets to Ibiza they're still dusting off sand from Burning Man and so why not use the blockchain to build for a community that is already decentralized Global and tech savvy we want this to be more than just a community to hold us though we want this to be a brand a Lifestyle brand but the
wider World connects with and triggers more growth for a culture industry that we love so I returned to the three pillars of nfts the art the community and the road map with a community who Vibes on the same frequency and who shares the positive values of electronic music culture such as openness inclusion diversity and equality on the Dance Floor you can take them to the Moon and back together we can build into fashion education film and TV music publishing and even the metaverse with our 3D avatars we obviously want to build virtual spaces but we don't just want to create a
virtual nightclub to look at beautiful digital things and listen to amazing music all those are great and all those things will be done but true to our message we want to break down the barriers between the fans and the artists we want to create virtual spaces where people come to share and create together and together in new Dynamic ways and with that sharing and creation by nature of the smart contracts any royalties trickle back down to the holders so finally the Lost Club toys will be showcasing our special limited edition toys created specifically for token 2049 so come to the after party tomorrow
night Friday here at the Marina Bay Sands on Cell RV at the top floor I believe tickets are still still available on resident advisor and there you'll be able to see the toys on display around the Marina Bay Sands and in true d-gen Style from Saturday to Sunday the toys are continuing the party over at Amber Lounge which is the official F1 after party and we're going to be releasing some of our first and rarest pieces of the collection but if you can't make any of those events I'd like to invite all of you to be an early whitelister and if you want to take a photo of me here today
and tag us on social media tell us that you are here um and would love to whitelist you for our Genesis which is going to happen in early 2023 so I want to thank Raphael for inviting me to token 2049 and you wonderful people for listening and uh come find me on Twitter or LinkedIn I'll be around and I hope we can all be lost Club toys together and continue the dance party on the blockchain thanks everyone
