okay i think we can kick off now we have uh quite a lot of people joined us um thank you so much for coming today this is a super exciting day for us uh my name is nikki and i'm head of digital at the crypto value association and we have the pleasure of hosting this event today with paula anna she's an amazing artist and we are really really excited to be part of her journey towards digitalizing her music and making it available for everybody online so this is sort of a milestone for us because this is our first cv nft series event and it's also a milestone for

switzerland because anna's song is going to be the first ever nft um issued under the new swiss blockchain law so i think there's a lot to celebrate today um i want to introduce you the people who will be joining us today or who are joining us today first of all of course polarana she's a very talented and aspiring young artist she's from saint petersburg and she's only 19 but she does amazing things not only sings but school at the same time so kudos to you anna um thank you for accepting

and letting us be part of your journey yeah thank you thank you very much yeah i'm glad that we have the possibility to do all of that and i would like to thank all the people that worked with me through this like month more than a month i guess and it's been it's been a journey and it's really new to me and it's very unique i've never done anything like that before and there are literally so many people every day were texting uh in the chat and i was like wow there's such a big work going on so yeah thank you thank you too why we've all been really happy to be part of this and also thank you for um your fans to join

today i think there are half of them is on zoom and the other half is watching um on your youtube channel well we're like 99 is watching on your youtube channel because right a million followers on youtube so i think a lot of her fans are here today um then i also would like to introduce chris and laura um they are the co-founders of arcades digital and it was chris's brainchild sort of to do this project and we're really happy that he's part of our cva community um and also this whole project has been done by cva members solely so we have a lot of our individual and corporate members here today

um including ilya volkov he's the ceo of uhudler we also have gabrielle jacquard he is the co-chair of our regulatory working group and he has been behind the scenes doing the legal part of the nft with quentin lewis edler who is a phd student um at the university of the of neshotel so they have been really taking care of the legal part we also have gus bart peduti he is the founder of ap mine and he's been behind the technology and we also have another corporate member greg benz and he is the co-founder of impact scope and just

a little fact about the nft is that we are going to make sure that it's a sustainable nft so we're offsetting the carbon that it takes to issue it and greg's company impact scope um is helping us to do this so this is our little group today um to just give you a little idea of what happens during this next 90 minutes right now i'm going to hand it over to chris and laura and they're going to speak a little bit about how this nft came along and you know what inspired the idea how we are working with anna why it's so important

and how this nft is a future of the music industry um then we will also have anna singh live um her new um and we're really excited i'm sure your fans are too because this is the first time they can hear your new single full of you right right um we'll have uh gabrielle and gusbard and greg talk to their individual roles in the project and then we'll also give a little bit of a taste of the song of its full version and that will be tokenized as an nft so well let's not wait any longer and i think

so nervous i mostly died but i hope you like the song itself not the singing but i mean come on you're so talented and i think everybody's so inspired by you so i know you know the artist always critiques herself for himself the most oh it's normal but yeah that's true we're really excited that you showed us this song today um so chris do you wanna introduce how this project came about and what we should know about the nft of course

uh thank you so much nikki um for this opportunity and for putting all of this together uh a wonderful project i have to say and maybe the first thing i want to say is that um as an association cvs really come through here we have i think this is the biggest project we've done like collaboratively in the association and um there's so many people who have contributed to this and it's not even all of them are around the table today so there's really a big a big group that came together made this happen so this is absolutely fantastic um why did we why do we do this project um so like nikki said it's a we already it's a milestone in the

history of of music licensing music production we believe for two reasons number one in general we we see that music licensing and the way artists make uh money with music um and the way it's going to be distributed is changing um and it's changing in the sense that uh we are seeing the industry uh slowly and truly moving towards uh licensing models that are based on tokens and um this can be uh very finely calibrated and it will be helping um the music industry on one side but also will help it will be helping the artists to

get a fair share of the revenue that's being uh produced in music so i think it's it's not just a technological step it's also kind of a movement where um artists in that space come together and um and help to move the whole industry in that direction so this is one uh one aspect the second aspect also why we're doing this is um that switzerland has introduced um a new legislation uh in february actually from this year and that allows us to create uh licenses such as the license to a song like a licensed a commercial license to a song to create that on the blockchain um and it is

considered by swiss law equivalent to paper contract um so we can now issue this security under swiss law uh in this way and i won't talk about the details of that because we have our specialist uh gabriel and um and quentin who actually have done the legal work um and just to give you an idea of what you know already what kind of the difference is between a regular nft that you might see of a music piece or of an artwork and this one is really that um we have here a really solid that's a 20-page contract essentially that covers everything in that license so the gist of it is that the buyer and the

seller of this license um have legal certainty they don't have to worry about you know being able to enforce that in a court of law or you know maybe there's something unclear maybe can i do this can i not do this so all of these aspects are covered in this in this license and this is the first time we're doing this so not not only is the first time we're doing this um at cva it's actually the first time this is being done in switzerland and probably and worldwide because that's uh that's where we are right now so we are really pushing uh the limits here with this project and it's also it serves to as a demonstrator for for us of course at arcades digital to make it happen uh with the team and to bring all the pieces together but also for the whole

ecosystem for the whole crypto ecosystem to say yes we are capable of doing this in switzerland and we hope that others will come as well uh take this opportunity to to get into this space and and help do that now that's the reasons why we why we've thought yes this is a great project we've worked hard on this all of all of us and we're excited to to see this come to fruition today and share this with you and hopefully some of you may have no idea uh what the technological background is of uh of this which is fine um and we want to have a huge amount of time to go into this and we're not going to bore you with um with all types of details but we will have um uh gaspar uh who is going to talk

a little bit about how he created this uh whole technology behind it so he built the actual token um so that's why we're also saying these our tokens are handmade in switzerland that's actually quite true i mean we have been on zoom calls and you know you hear the the keyboard clicking and clacking and uh that's really and you see the code happening on the screen and that's really what's what's happening so it's not a it's really customized a customized piece of work that is um that's available now to uh to buy now one one important piece again is and i want to repeat this and make it absolutely clear to everybody is um what we're selling here is not a piece of music that you know many many people will download

um in fact what we're selling is the license to market and to uh uh to um to commercialize this music right so it's a new song has never been played before um and it's it's completely uh untouched by any commercialization so far and um what we're doing now is we're selling this license uh on behalf of of anna uh who is the artist and who's going to receive the revenue from this from this sale and we want to demonstrate again with this as well that this is going to be the new way how we uh commercialize music and how this is going to happen in the industry and so that's really part of what we're doing here and so we're also doing this

to show to the community that this is a an option and a possibility and we hope of course that the whole field will actually move in this direction and if you're going on clubhouse if you go on instagram you will see many people working on this this is a huge community uh extremely lively and we want to invite everybody also you know for for you guys on the on on youtube watching um go check it out go get into those rooms and clubhouse and other channels and really participate and also be aware that you can build your own uh brand you can build also your own music and i think part of why anna is so inspiring is i think she shows that uh with with this exceptional talent

she can she really can attract um a lot of of people she has one million followers on on youtube she has you know quarter million on on uh on other channels on on instagram etc and um so the pairing of her ins i was gonna say insane but okay incredible talent um pairing that with this technology and with the legal certainty here we we bring things together that in our opinion um and i think around the table they share everyone shares that it's a visionary project it's a it's a trailblazer and we are so proud to uh to be part of this to help lead this uh with the whole team

so i'm not gonna say much more about this i think uh you may have noticed that i'm quite excited about it but it's you know it's really uh come to fruition now so um i think we can maybe go into some of the uh the other contributions and uh maybe nikki you can uh take that and pass on the the floor to the next uh speaker please so yes i was gonna ask gabrielle and quentin to talk about the legal part but in between i also want anna's fans to be in touch with her and not just us talking so anna what did you think the first time when you heard um that there was this idea to turn your song into an nfc like were you like okay what is going on uh my reaction right um

so when i first heard of nft i was like what is that obviously because i didn't know uh then uh ilya and then chris we had a zoom call and they explained to me everything and there was a long zoom call and then still after that i was like what is that i still didn't understand anything but still then i started understanding some details and i just thought well that's a really good idea because it's a new way for the artists to um interact with the fans to just um to do something with with the work that uh they produce

right so and i think i think it's gonna spread because um i mean i don't know i just uh at first i didn't understand it but now i feel like this is actually a good idea and i'm really glad that i i have this possibility to do it in in such a unique way as an nft so yeah we're so glad that you were open to the opportunity and you're right the future of music is probably going to be um revolving around nfds and it's good for you artists right because you're getting a bigger um part of what's rightfully yours right like you make the music you work for

you write these beautiful songs but then only a little part of it comes back to you as compensation and a lot of it goes to these big publishing companies but with nfts um your fans what they pay for your music is going to end up with you so that's an amazing part um okay so let me hand it over to gabrielle and quentin um to quickly talk about what this nf50 means from the legal perspective and uh try to speak human language peace because of course we always do we're not it's the hard part when you you have to to speak after

polarano and chris you know no but um as chris mentioned we will just uh review kind of the the basics of what we've tried to to create in a very human uh way and i have a smaller um presentation for that so i'll share it now uh if i can can you allow me to to share the present in my presentation um yes give me one second yeah no i believe it's can you say it yes okay so great um we're first of all very happy to be here we're very happy uh that uh we collaborated with uh with uh with anna on this beautiful project and

with chris and arcade and uh very happy that uh we kind of ended up doing something because that was one of the the criticism that people had around nft uh you don't create any value with nfts and that's one of the criticism we try to to to fight and i truly believe that we kind of figure out a way to actually make nft uh very useful and uh we we made it we made it happen through the legal way so by recreating uh nfc that has an actual value because it embeds some rights so long story short what i want you to discuss with you very

quickly is to show you what the general framework of this nft looks like show you the the two different parts it's made of first the license contract and then the issuance contract and then wrap up with some key takeaways so um in regard to general framework um basically when you acquire the token you you're both uh binded uh as an acquirer to a license contract with the creator so you um there is a a contract between you and anna and as an acquirer you conclude an issuance contract with archives digital so it's a two-part relationship but uh in the end it's uh

it's forming a triangle long story short uh you can see that way so basically you've got the issuance of the the the pia token so all the the the question relating to how this title is handled uh is um is uh bound to this issuance contract and to archives and all the aspects relating to the license um uh that is uh the the the contract you're right that are actually licensed to you uh uh what you you will be able to do with the with the the the the content of the right for instance if you can um for instance sell the song to someone else uh is handled

by the license contract you have with anna so you have a direct relationship with uh with anna on this one one of the perks of uh or smart contract and maybe gaspar will talk a little bit more about that is uh this pia token which is a unique token embedding the right uh has the the ability to release what we call pr oath token those pia oath tokens basically uh can be released uh uh there it's an there is an unlimited cap so you can release as much as you want and you can release it as a way to prove that uh the the person who downloaded the song uh made it um um legally or

or uh with regard to the the specific channel for instance with an original song with an original uh copy of the song so you can have also this uh this way of proving that uh your uh ownership uh uh your digital iep ownership is also legalized in some way and you have also this direct link to the artist via this pia os token which serve only as a mechanism proof uh i'm sorry if i'm not speaking very french on that one but uh i'll sum it up with with some some drawings so you can enjoy the drawing in any case

uh one of the other perks that we have very shortly is that this pr token can be kind of subdivised so this pair took an embed a worldwide license but this worldwide license can be uh uh split into several other pi tokens the way um the way crypto kitties work so basically um you have the parent token that is the pr token and you can sub device into sub tokens which could for instance represent the the licensing right over a certain geographic area for instance uh pia token over switzerland so you can have all the license right uh embedded into a sub token

that you sell afterwards and that is just limited to certain for instance that's uh one of the the opportunity but there are many others and that's something we wanted to create to have some kind of granularity in the the option that that you have with this token so now is the time for me to hand over the floor to quentin and we'll talk a little bit about this license contract and all uh on his order just uh follow up with the with the slides so continue off the floor thank you very much okay so yes so introducing the license contract itself so it's quite the usual

license contract as such but there are a few novelty and we are happy to to innovate even in the field of of the law that that is the cool aspect of this project it's there is also some legal novelty i will say so the content itself so you pointed out uh it concerns the work of art uh you can you can already uh should the next part of the slide jakar so so so it concerns the the work of art which gonna be licensed and all also the derivative works that gonna stream out of of it so if there are some new productions and some some derivative songs coming out of it it will be also included in the

license otherwise you will see these are quite uh conventional uh provisions regarding the exclusivity so it's really uh sale in a way of the the copyright it's going to be a transfer it's going to be exclusive worldwide commercial and what is interesting here is we have the 20 years term and um what is i will say the the legal novelty in a way is that we can enforce it using the blockchain directly because we can automatize this kind of process and and this is what makes this project so interesting is many of the legal triggers can be automatized directly on the blockchain perhaps you want to move to the door i just want to point something here

as well um what it what is also very exciting is as has been mentioned by kristen i think that you uh gabriel as well it's there is really this capacity to empower the the artist and to give them a direct relation with the fan base and and this is what uh also make it very enjoyable and right now we have a a prototype i would say that is quite tailor-made for the case and the the id after the this first launch is also to have more generic licenses that could be used for other artists replicating the same model so we are really opening new ways with with this license contract that is that is automatized on the blockchain

okay you can move on to the next slide yes no you can you you can revel it in full um so so the content itself as we mentioned it includes the prison rights and the future rights on the work um with all the usual uh the disposal of the of the work uh including of course uh the the commercialization of such rights meaning you can uh earn royalties on on this and so on um as um as uh gabriel mentioned uh it's quite interesting as well to think that through the the the pa authentification token you could also automatize sub

licensing for instance and make it uh make it easier in the future also to to collect payment for instance which could also be part of smart contracts on the blockchain um what should be mentioned something we we've cared about that's also not to to deprive the artist of uh fully of of her talent i will say in a way and so we left room for live performance so she can perform live performance on her work which is also interesting for yes yeah that's good news for the fans so basically absolutely she can perform the song for you anytime she wants to um so yeah i just really have been here no absolutely no but this

is also meant for the for the fan base but i mean to to the talent should be should be used to his first potential and it will be uh it will be actually a little bit dominant just to to deprive to deprive the the the artist from a capability to actually perform alive and and and satisfy the fanbase definitely and also it's interesting for them for the acquirer of the of the license uh himself because of course then as the the work of art is going to be kept alive to do live performances and perhaps the value will increase and so on so this is a ver a virtuous circle a win-win situation and we are quite glad to have put that in in the license agreement and i think

it's only fair to do so um perhaps um just you know considering the time um i'll be short and i'll be short yeah no no worries i'm finished with this slide then but this is another interesting aspect of course it is perhaps you're not going to find it as incredible as it as it is but actually it is because there is another innovation here is the form of the contract now you know sometimes you you as you have prescribed forms such you must sign the contract for instance so you must have it notarized and in this case actually we have sort of a new form using the blockchain meaning all the trigger trigger happen through the blockchain

so of course the license exists without the blockchain but the first means actually to execute the contract will be using the blockchain and this is quite a novelty because we are sort of creating a new legal form of contract perhaps and the other aspect i think where we have innovated as well is the payment method because right now because in in this licensing crypto is the first mean of payments and we that's what's quite interesting and tricky to do because we know the volatility of the of cryptos we but we found out mechanisms and i think we have been the first to really go the full way using crypto as a means of payment and i hopefully in a satisfying way absolutely uh i would agree with you but

i have a conflict of interest uh i got the message nikki uh we'll we'll be very short and then polaronic and serve us with with our song uh just very shortly so what do you get by acquiring the the the the pi token so you get an nfc token qualifying as the dlc securities under swiss law uh it embeds directly the license rights and the fact that you lose the nft in some way does not nullify the fact that you have the right over the the the license uh the specifics of uh this uh this uh nft and uh this smart contract is that you have the ability as

i showed you to to issue those uh authenticity tokens that enables you to to uh to to issue all those tokens to to the crowd basically uh creating a very uh direct link uh that authenticate their use of the song and you also have the ability this granularity i talked about to have a sub license and splitting uh of the right uh the main rights of the pia token you also have the right to pledge but i i don't go into details uh that's not interesting to some other people except then quentin and i uh the last but not least of the the the features that this issuance contract has is the the

organization of the administration of the the tokens so basically you have uh many situations that may happens to to to the to the title and uh archive is here to actually administer the the title and it has some certain power uh to actually administer the the token in case there is a primary it's not a purely unilateral way uh so they cannot do it uh uh necessarily unity unilaterally but uh they have this administration possibilities powers uh in in any case for instance they can taint the token if there is a problem so giving up a mark to signal something to the

acquirer and that will be done and linked directly to the cap table on the blockchain so i won't go into too much detail so let me give you the key takeaway and the key takeaway just yeah i know in terms of anna's fans really want to hear from her so i know the report is very exciting this is the three the three last point it's a world first it's only possible in switzerland and it's a very elaborated scheme that we could go on for a very long but uh we won't of course uh and uh it's my pleasure to to hand over uh to you nikki so i'm sorry i didn't mean to interrupt no no no no no it was the key takeaway it's a world first a very elaborated

system and we do it we did it for for the beauty of uh the music of anna so i'll hand you over the floor i know it's uh you know this uh nfd issuance in switzerland is is really important right now and we're the first ones to or you are the first ones to make this happen under the new swiss blockchain law so thank you so much for your expertise um and i think if someone is really interested in how this legally is made possible um you can they can reach out to gabrielle and he'll be glad to share his expertise um okay so now i'm bringing forward one of the pieces

right anna your song is absolutely beautiful thank you can you tell us a little bit about the inspiration for the song okay so um i think what i love about just making songs uh writing them is that whenever i get um some idea of making a story um i feel like it's not enough to just write it and it has to be saying it has to be a melody in it it has to be something that sounds

with sounding you know uh because to express everything that i want to say it it wasn't enough for me to just write because i used to write like poetry in russian in english and it wasn't enough for me i thought well i should do something else which can be more than just just words with rhymes and so the melody came very fast to me um i don't know why sometimes it just the melody comes faster than the worst to me and um the funny thing is that um i don't really get the inspiration from my own experience and in case with this song

i think i just saw a very beautiful story in my friend's experiences and maybe in my family experience and i guess this is it i've never been in love actually which is which is maybe weird but i mean this song is about love and that's the first song that i wrote about love and i guess it's just my uh view of love how it is like the first love and maybe uh so yeah it wasn't from my experience but i guess it's just my view and my feeling of it and my expression so yeah this is it the answer was very long sorry but well i guess the takeaway is that uh

some very special young man needs to come along audrey um i mean i can only imagine okay so you said you haven't been in love imagine the songs that you will write when you finally fall in love well yeah i thought about that i think they should be better than this one i don't know how you can help this because it's already amazing oh thank you i hope i hope but i'm sure the first love will bring along a lot more amazing incredible songs and your fans should be happy sure okay well um how about we jump into

another bit of a technical part story fans but you know this nfte and the way it's being made is also important um and it benefits anna so i want to ask gaspar to talk a little bit about the technology and how these nfts are being created because it's actually a a really interesting process sure ah thank you yeah how to say anything after that but um i'll be very short so basically nft are very trendy at the moment we saw a lot of attempts from artists with a painter songwriter to basically token iso production so that the

the whole cycle of uh from what is being recorded until what is being sold in stream um i mean in this old cycle the artists benefit more from it uh it's more transparent as well and i think i mean uh the gabrielle i reached to me in that process i needed an extremely good job um on the lower part to bring up with some novel id which is basically combining a legal instrument which is the license of the of the song to an nft and so usually compliance is a painful world for a technical guy but in that case that was that was a very uh interesting experience so basically

taking a regular nft and adding different functions different functionalities um separating role the artist the issuer uh the actual nft owner and working on that to to make to make it compliant to make it usable in the ways that the contracts reflect so i think it's a premiere and that was really a great honor and uh enjoyable experience to do to work on this and i hope that that it will be a very successful one as well i'm sure it will be and actually we're getting a lot of questions regarding you know how the token is going to be traded and all that uh maybe we can come back to those questions later and you can ask

answer some of them that's great okay um greg let's jump on to you because um i think we really wanted to make sure that this nft is sustainable some of the people who um you know understand blockchain will know more about why it's important um to keep this in mind but i'll let you talk to the topic because you're the expert of course all right thank you so much um first of all i'm so so inspired to be part of this event i had a child dream of being a musician uh if it wasn't for the small detail of talent i might be sitting beside you but i see my guitar sitting lonely in the other corner of the room and after this uh after this uh um

conference then i'm gonna actually go over and pick it up so thank you for the inspiration anna and i'm really excited to hear more of your music it's actually my first time getting to know so it's so nice thank you thank you very much i'm glad thank you so uh my pleasure my pleasure i never thought that i would finally get into the music business through uh sustainability and carbon offset when we founded this company never would have occurred to me um it actually my personal background i was in corporate business for 25 years and i got so excited about sustainability that about four years ago i started to build solar parks and when we heard and understand the large electricity and energy consumption and related carbon footprint of cryptocurrencies

about a year ago i joined sean who's the original let's say ideator of impact scope uh together with james who who was a founder of the first actually one of the first anyway uh carbon finance companies in europe over 20 years ago with our mission which is to bring cryptocurrency and the blockchain into carbon negative territory so this area has gotten huge amount of media coverage over the last few months and a lot of it has been around bitcoin and bitcoin's large uh electricity usage and related uh carbon footprint larger than the entire energy consumption for example of switzerland um and and ethereum as well also while certainly less energy consumptive than

than uh bitcoin is also consuming a lot of energy and it's a great opportunity for us at um at impact scope to really find really solid great verified projects that we can offer to the world to bring in uh carbon offsets to uh to offset that that energy consumption and that carbon footprint um maybe just a few words about what we do at impact scope uh we work if any of you have bought an airline ticket at the end of the airline ticket you can choose to offset your flight like you can tick a box we're providing apis to crypto exchanges i would call it b to b to c so the consumer through an exchange through a crypto exchange they can choose to make their transactions carbon neutral

and they can choose to choose different projects maybe they can choose reforestation project in the rain forest in brazil or clean cooking stoves in kenya or one of a variety of different projects that we're offering right now and that's like really exciting for for for me both from working with the crypto world which was also fairly new to me but also in terms of really researching and understanding you know which projects are really valid and how they how they work um the other side of the business that we work on is working with um like big mining companies for example we're doing crypto mining is getting a lot of heat in recent times so we're looking at crypto mining for example if we have a crypto mining uh uh in in a certain country we'll look at

what energy they're using if they don't know exactly what energy they're using we look at the energy mix in that country what part is coming from renewables what part is coming from fossil fuels and then we have data scientists that help us to find out what their carbon footprint and how they can offset that so those are the basis types of of work that we do and i was really happy when nikki invited us to be the provider of the carbon offsets that will work together with anna and her nft so i'm really grateful for this opportunity and finally getting into the music world after all these years yes and then you will be able to choose what cause you are passionate about um and what you know you want this carbon offset to go towards um so we'll see it's going

to be some something fun and maybe you can have your your fans help you decide and get a vote on what will be the most popular cause to to donate towards yes yes that's a great idea we could provide a number of options due to your interests and then we can work together with with you to find a way to have the fans choose which one they like the best i think right generation um anna you're 19. so we're really hoping that your generation will be the one that will finally make the world stop using you know so much plastic and we just we just must i guess yes you have to so i think it's a really important um

topic to address excited okay um chris i think it's going to be your turn to start the meeting and and all the fun stuff to issue and make this um right token come alive yes all right thank you thank you nikki and thanks everybody and this is of course a hybrid event we have uh we have both sort of the technical uh folks here the uh investors uh people who are really into the blockchain community and we have anna's fans so it's a hard it's a bit difficult to to balance those two and so i just want to say also uh to defense uh

you know sorry for consuming a little bit of time but it's also important for our uh fans that are many many less than you guys are but still um one thing uh it's really important to me that also we are understanding that um what we're doing here is um is helping the artists to monetize their art they make it they make art and they deserve a fair share and today honestly in the music industry i don't know how many of you understand how it works but today this is not getting under given so for anna to buy a cup of coffee she needs a couple of thousand streams of her of her music on uh on platforms like uh uh like spotify like uh like other

platforms that stream music so um the model right now is not positive for artists and to a certain extent they're you could probably say they're getting used to a certain extent by about you know by the big music business now with an uh with the blockchain technology with a decentralized model like we have we can help to go against that stream and create a new kind of way how people can um artists can actually monetize their their music so i just want to make clear that this is it's not just another layer of like you know squeezing more out of artists it's the contrary it's trying to help uh empower this and um in this sense i think it will take a while for people to understand how it works and

um new things are always a little bit difficult and people tend to be conservative and say like no no let's let's keep everything how it is um but we have to change the world also in that in that respect uh and i think that's that's part of what we're trying to do now i'm gonna hand over to asher to laura and i'm gonna switch to to the screen uh view and we will now um put the token on uh open c um and the token again represents the full commercial license we're gonna set um uh the every all the parameters including the minimum price which i will reveal a little bit later that's what's going to actually to anna and uh you know once the token is being auctioned um and uh i'll hand over to laura for for this

actual token uh took us we first thought we're going to do it online um but it took actually three hours for of back and forth and you know re redoing some of the technical stuff and doing some more programming and so on so we're happy we didn't do that and i'm sure you were happy too but now we're going to actually uh put the reserve price in there 20 uh of uh of east that's a cryptocurrency um that's being used to uh buy and sell in this new economy and um so so if you think you know we're you know this is we're putting a value on what on this on this work now and uh we're starting to a minimum value [Music] yeah a minimum value of of 20 east and

20s represents right now approximately a little bit over fifty thousand uh dollars or fifty thousand euros roughly um and um same yeah and this is going to to understand this is not the price that you have to pay in order to listen to the song it's it's a price an investor will pay for the right of the song in order to use it in the future yes this is what goes to ana for this song and that's a minimum so it might actually go higher we of course are hoping that it goes higher so this is what she's going to get so i think you can see now that this model uh says okay let's pay the artist first and then

and then we we start exploiting uh the song and then we start using commercializing the song see that's the difference now because otherwise the artist takes all the wrist if the song doesn't really play well well it's your problem right artist but now here you say no no we're taking that we're taking the risk as the investor as the music um business we're taking that on us and we're putting that uh dead on and actually we're giving it to the highest bidder not some uh something someone who i already maybe have some kind of a contract with yeah so no that's funny oh okay good um great so um we're as we're doing this we're we're we're pushing um

of course the the button uh here post your listing and uh that means also that for the uh for for an investor now just do just do let's do a quick math here let's say you are the investor you buy the rights um and then you start selling the individual songs right on um as a as one of those tokens that gabriel i hope you listened uh that gabriel was uh was talking about before and okay we're gonna have to do some account uh work here because it's a new account of um of hers um so we're doing that um but no matter i mean it's we're getting into the auction uh in any case but uh what's happening is that um uh you can uh you can see now that this

little token that uh gabriel was talking about i know it was a little technical but now it makes sense because the person buying this this mother token so to speak can then um mint uh tiny little tokens that he or she can sell as the song which is um and you know just imagine you sell a hundred thousand copies at um let's say three dollars right you make three hundred thousand dollars off of that song um so that means also that we're going to uh to expect investors uh and and people who want to license this song uh to actually pay a good price for it that goes to the artist so that's kind of how the model works and how we kind of turning the tables a

little bit on this on this whole thing now where it says initialize the account um and uh laura is just going into her meta mask to sign this um all kinds of interesting things you should definitely go have a look at google all of that stuff and you um especially like those of you who are in really any age but go to google uh cryptocurrency go do all of these things do the research because it's this is how the economy is gonna look like in five to ten years even even before and um you will uh you will profit when you uh as personally and and in business if you start learning uh what's going on here so um that's what's going that's what's happening um so laura's uh seems to be taking a

so there are so many exams and all of them are very difficult so i'm doing them now um but yeah i'm writing a song another one um i'm actually writing three at the moment like at the same time because i feel like is the better way to write songs because sometimes you just have this moment when you realize that you don't know what to do with the song uh like it just you have this stop sign i don't know how to say it uh and you think well i should have a pause take a pause i'll have to say it correctly um and then you just uh go to another song and with the help of another song

you get an idea to go to another song and then you write 10 songs at the same time so um yeah i love the protest itself by the way i really love the process of writing this song because i i feel like it's the private moment of you expressing everything you have in your mind in your soul i don't know it's very romantic and i say romantic things but it it is how it is i really love the process of you and just the paper and the guitar or maybe the piano and yeah you just express everything you have

and that you can't just put into words you have to put it into melody and then with words so yeah very romantic that sounds amazing and um can we get a little bit of a hint of what is the subject of your next songs or you want to keep it a secret yeah right um so this song that i wrote before full of you um i wrote it actually a long ago before like the beginning of the song but i didn't end it uh as i like to do it's called escapism um and i don't know what to add actually here

it's just the the name of the song says it all it's just about me in the mood of um that i have pretty often i have this mood of um when i wish to when i want to escape somewhere like there are so many problems around me or maybe there are so many things to do i have so many just things around and i want to escape somewhere it's a really dumb way to explain the song but really i have this feeling and this feeling i am trying to express in this song called escapism um it's i play it with a piano i don't really play piano really good

and the guitar by the way i can't play that good i thought so i guess but my skills are enough for enough to to to write the songs i guess and yeah and another one it's called day dreamer night thinker um it's just about the character i guess again uh like i did in my uh in my some main character which was the previous one before full of you uh i just take a character that may have something in common with me and i make it like another person and as if he uh sang the song as if he wrote the song

or she uh i don't know it's just it sounds weird maybe uh but well i like to do things like that and so yeah this song should be played i should be saying as if someone else this character would sing it i hope i um express my thoughts correctly in english because sometimes i just don't control the way i uh talk in english it's not my native language sorry so yeah it's perfect and also i think you're really really humble when you say you don't play the guitar that well i think we're all decent well i just i really don't like it i mean my you know what my parents are

musicians professional musicians they they can do stuff uh and when i look up to him i understand who i am i guess so so do you think your love of music came from your parents or do you think even if they weren't musicians you would still love making music i mean um i i think it was a really important part of my childhood when i i always like from the age of zero i guess i heard the uh the the songs i had classical music because because my mom loves uh classical music and she plays

flute uh also my dad uh he plays the drums and my another dad my step dad he also plays flute professionally all of them and i heard all of that um and i guess i just i don't know how to say it in english really but i was inspired by that obviously and i wanted and i sang i i sang very quietly in my room and i hoped no one really um you know heard it because i thought that was embarrassing i still sometimes think so but it's like it was yeah a big impact on me that my parents are musicians i think

so yeah that's amazing and also coming back to what you said about um your um i think you were explaining your next song right and it felt like you're explaining that it's your own world that you are in and i wish myself your own world must be really beautiful if these are the oh thank you i hope so i'm just yeah i'm trying to create this world in which people would um i don't know i'm trying to just explain people what do i feel some for some reason i feel like it's very important to people to know what i feel so i put it into songs and so they listen to it and someone

find it beautiful and this is the best part about being a singer being an artist i guess when people understand your world that you trying to create when people feel like in in your world that she created they feel maybe they feel the same so yes and can will your fans be able to see you somewhere live soon see me live um i hope so yeah i hope then we need so make an anna concert happen sometime very soon i i really hope that i know that this will happen i don't really know when exactly but i know that i have to

absolutely free also to perform that song live even if somebody has the commercial license so she can sing it at concerts she can perform it uh live uh absolutely no problem no restrictions there um and um but she can also get that revenue up front uh for this token and uh for this for this license so that's what's online here and um the idea of course is that someone picks it up and then makes it accessible to everybody uh at the at the you know at a much lower price of course because then we're talking about volume and like i said before for for a couple of hundred thousand um views or listens uh even at the low price uh and um some money who buys this can make

first of all can make some profit themselves but also can uh benefit the artist by uh by actually paying a fair price for the for this token for this license so that's kind of how this works and we're happy that this is online now and i would invite also uh people to go there have a look um and also if you have um if you know investors rich rich parents uncles uh or people who are in the music business already who want to entrepreneurs who want to do this please put them in touch and explain to them what you what you saw and educate people about how this how this is going to work so that's kind of what we what we have to say here um

i've been doing belly and till the until the age of 12 yeah and i've been always on the stage and i have this um i don't know i always want to be on the stage right and that's why i do everything like singing acting uh dancing everything that is somehow connected with with the stage where i can perform because i love this um and yeah i i would be and i hope i will be an actress so yeah and the singer and everything else that i'd like to be that's amazing and honestly okay so your fans uh here on the chat i see

um and how much it will cost which we discussed um but let's just explain one more time chris about what this nft means yeah because uh because sorry i have which cannot interrupt sorry because i think because that's how i thought about this nft how how does it work when i first heard of it that i have to pay some price to listen to the song once or twice you know that's how i thought when i wasn't explained at first so maybe they um think the same now so we should probably explain uh that it's not

it doesn't work like that so yeah that's that's right anna and um it's so there are different types of course of of nfts and some are used to use those um and an nft really is is a token it's like a token that you buy maybe at the casino or maybe at a country fair or something where you go to the cashier at the beginning and you you get a token and then you can put it into a machine an arcade game or a machine or like that it's kind of like the same thing except on the digital in a digital world and it's it's very secure that's the idea behind a token and uh and an nft is a token that is specifically for one thing only it's not you can't exchange it

to to be something else it's just for that exact song not for this exact license so that's what nft means it means non-fungible that means you can't it's a unique piece and it's not like you can exchange it like a you know a a piece of money like a one dollar note or something you can exchange to another one dollar no it doesn't matter which one you have it's always worth one dollar or one euro um whereas this nft is that exact license or that exact song now just to explain again uh how it works this nft here represents a license a license for somebody who buys this nft has the license then to commercialize on us work and the

commercialization can be in any form they want they can do it classically they can use it for uh streaming they can they could use it for uh you know they could even make cds or vinyl uh no problem right all of these rights would be uh would be there um but also one thing they could do is to to issue like uh mini nfts basically that give the right to the to the song uh to download the song and they could charge a small price for that um if they want to sell a lot of them so that would be the idea behind this so um for the fans that means uh you'll have to you have to wait a little longer for this to to be able to hit the market um and but then it should be available commercially as well and you can listen

to it and again uh anna is um is the benefit is um is the one who benefits from that from that sale um so this is not going to some some crazy uh big corporation or some executives who just kind of try to squeeze some money out of out of an aspiring talent it's really um a way a new way of doing this and that's that's really the idea that drives us all behind us and this is also why this is an open effort right we're all doing this openly um we're we're really um collaborating on this uh we you everybody can see what we're doing and um we're trying to be as as transparent about it as we as we possibly can um and we're happy also to explain each

one of us uh you know individually also explain how uh how these things work so the idea behind this is really not to um not to just go in one direction but really to make this open and really help change the field a little bit with this innovative approach in switzerland there's a question about how much of this um money anna will get after you know this the nft sold and i i think you know if you answer that question and then compare it to how much would she get if if she signed with the record label like um that will show how big of a difference is it chris like can you explain how much will anna get after the nft sold percentage-wise let's say yeah so anna's gonna get um uh the

majority of what's coming out of this there are going to be some fees for um that are deducted from like the marketplace for instance and uh and other fees like to just make it happen um so but she's gonna get uh as what about 80 percent uh 75 80 percent of that um will will go to her and um that's sort of that's again that's part of this change right it's not the other way around it's not she's getting she's the last one to get something out of this she's the first one to get something out of this and uh she's gonna get the majority share i feel like normally if you're a young artist who's just upcoming you sign a record deal you might get 20 or 30 percent tops for your songs or royalties right and

getting 80 that's that's like almost three times as much so um i think this is a really great way for artists to to earn more and uh getting rewarded for their hard work precisely so hopefully anna you will be a lot richer by june by june 20th well we'll see she's she's starting her studies right i mean i'm buying my academy question but then just i don't know what is there anything that you decided you will buy if if your nft

sold is there anything that you want for yourself like it can be just a small thing oh i don't know i just try not to think about it you know because i i'm i don't know ah okay don't worry about it i know this it's it's so stressful i don't know really okay well i hope that a lot of people will um bid and the auction is open until june 20th to be exact right chris that's correct yes and we'll also do some direct marketing to people who might be interested in this so we're pushing but we're also very happy if one of the audience members or some of the audience members were
