happy to talk about some of the really cool stuff that they're building so yeah how you doing today Ellie very good how are you man I got a long week hear it in your voice and you guys have had a really solid couple of years from Big Rays team expansion Tech Innovations um I guess how's I've been I was at Stark netcc a year ago and so much has changed since then what is the last year been like for you so it's been amazing uh first and foremost because of the amazing developer team that is rapidly expanding we're very proud to have the largest ecosystem of developers that is actually expanding even in the midst of what is now recognized as crypto winter

uh very proud of them the achievements that they've rolled out allowed the TPS and throughput to be increased dramatically there are a lot of very cool projects that are coming online making a lot of very interesting announcements uh as we speak outside in the conference awesome yeah I agree and and I think there's a lot of um very very cool Tech uh being built uh that is pushing the boundaries of what's possible um tug us through kind of your your mental model for um how the technology that you've helped create kind of separate starkware Stark net uh from from the rest yeah so um first of all we're proud to have been added at it the longest we started the

you know Stark where it was founded in 2018 we were the first to speak about using validity proofs and Starks for scaling the ethereum uh We've rolled out our first line of products based on this technology already three years ago it settled upward of one trillion dollars for multiple customers now it's all being part of the the public uh Stark knit um so um dramatic achievements in terms of the technology and what we're really focusing on these days is basically I'm making sure that it's available through the Cairo programming language and the starting it interface to all the developers and users yeah I'd love to also kind of get your thoughts on um the the starting ecosystem

um being uh with with the recent upgrade as you said and also with with um the upcoming talk uh that the vitalik is coming for on Kakarot and bringing the Stark wear technology uh starts to EDM yeah so kakawot is an amazing project that uh started with the uh Stark net ecosystem and is supported publicly by vitalik um it is a way to take solidity code and deploy it seamlessly onto uh starknet it is what's known as a ZK evm so we have in addition to the native language of starknet which is Cairo that is rust inspired is very easy to program in is ergonomic safe modern programming

language for smart contracts in addition to that you can also opt and choose to take your solidity code and deploy it through Kakarot onto starknet and that's amazing that you have this uh um you know availability of choices uh on start net yeah I mean from a user perspective being um being evm compatible is a big step as as far as getting that sticky sticky liquidity But ultimately people will come to Stark net because they want to be a part of the ecosystem there's something here that I found from the last year and again this year it's either something in the air there's always something in the air I'm not sure what it is and I was talking to my my partner Rob about it and he was like if we're right on this like this is going to be huge I I I I can just feel it can

you speak to the communities what is that something in the air I think uh so um the CEO of elugent which is one of the leading uh Wallets on starknet Swiss said that it has the feeling of the early days of ethereum and he was around um I think developers are sensing that there's some true novel Innovation here that can really take the um vision of blockchain that is opening protocols on which you build generic infrastructure for money and social functions and everything in and making it scale to Global usage on top of ethereum this is for the first time for the first time available through uh the validity roll-up that is Stark and

through the Stark net system and I think that's very exciting to developers something new something important something that will change the world epic and speaking on change the world my last question for you is when when you're done scaling to the nth power and doing layer 2000s what what is a passion project or a an idea that you would love to see created that is um able to be built because of the tech um of you know starkware and overall ZK okay I would like um information and power to be back in the hands of individuals I would like to see blockchains in the end be not proof of work not proof of stake but proof of humanity through uh decentralized

protocols I would like blockchain to serve the purpose of being a democratic and democratizing force that basically allows individuals to be empowered and control um their information especially in the digital world and give them back the power that's what I would like to see happening yeah in the era of the information age it's at the utmost importance currently to be pushing forward on initiatives um and you know like this and I'm excited to uh see the growth of starkware and I thank you for the uh time thank you Andy and thank you for being an early supporter uh and follower of uh of uh starting it I think in this respect uh you and your team have
