Vinny Lingham

Vinny Lingham is a South African internet entrepreneur and investor who has been part of crypto since its early days, earning the nickname "Bitcoin Oracle" for his market calls. He founded the mobile gift card company Gyft, an early adopter of Bitcoin payments that was acquired by First Data in 2014, and went on to co-found the blockchain identity company Civic in 2015. From 2017 to 2020 he was a General Partner at Multicoin Capital, where he led the first investment round in Solana and backed Filecoin and Render early. In 2024 he co-founded Praxos Capital, a crypto money market hedge fund. He was also a Shark on Shark Tank South Africa.
