Pratyush Mishra
Pratyush Mishra is an Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where his research focuses on efficient cryptographic proof systems and secure computation. He is a co-author and co-maintainer of arkworks, the widely used collection of Rust libraries for building zkSNARKs, and a founding scientist at Aleo, the privacy-focused blockchain built on his research project Zexe. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at UC Berkeley under Alessandro Chiesa and Raluca Ada Popa, earning an ACM SIGSAC Doctoral Dissertation Award runner-up in 2022. He is a recurring guest on the Zero Knowledge podcast, where he has discussed everything from the arkworks framework to his recent work on smaller proofs, folding schemes, and low-memory SNARKs.
