Nick Johnson
Nick Johnson is the founder and lead developer of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), the widely used decentralized naming system that maps human readable names to Ethereum addresses. A New Zealand trained software engineer, he worked at Google as a site reliability and developer programs engineer before joining the Ethereum Foundation in 2016, where he worked on Go Ethereum and Swarm. The naming system he built for Swarm content evolved into ENS, which later spun out of the Foundation into its own organization (now ENS Labs). He led the launch of the ENS DAO and its token airdrop in late 2021, and has since been driving ENSv2 and the project's dedicated Namechain layer 2.
