Krzysztof Gogol
Krzysztof Gogol is a PhD candidate researching blockchain and decentralized finance at the University of Zurich. His work centers on maximal extractable value, automated market makers, and liquid staking across Ethereum and its rollups, including the paper "Cross-Rollup MEV: Non-Atomic Arbitrage Across L2 Blockchains," co-authored with Johnnatan Messias, Deborah Miori, Claudio Tessone, and Benjamin Livshits. He has published steadily on these themes since 2023, with papers on liquid staking protocols, blockchain inscriptions, and MEV on fast-finality chains drawing more than 240 citations combined, most of them written alongside Tessone, the university's professor of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. His ETHWarsaw talk, on spam-based MEV on rollups, traces the same research line into how failed transactions on rollups can be used to extract value.
