Kristin Smith

Kristin Smith is President of the Solana Policy Institute, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit advocating for public policies that let decentralized networks flourish. She took the role in May 2025 after nearly seven years leading the Blockchain Association, the D.C. trade association representing the crypto industry's leading companies, where she served as the sector's chief liaison to lawmakers through some of its most turbulent regulatory years. Before crypto she spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill as a Senate and House aide focused on technology policy, followed by private-sector advocacy work for telecom and internet companies.
