Johann Gevers
Johann Gevers founded Monetas, a Zug-based digital transaction platform, and relocated it to Switzerland in 2013, a move that helped seed what became known as Crypto Valley. He went on to found the Bitcoin Association Switzerland and to serve as president of the Tezos Foundation, a role that put him at the center of a 2017 to 2018 governance dispute with Tezos co-founders Arthur and Kathleen Breitman over token compensation and control of the foundation. An independent audit found no evidence of the self-dealing he was accused of, but the standoff froze the foundation's bank accounts for two months and delayed the Tezos launch. He stepped down from the foundation's board in February 2018.
