Eric Peters

Eric Peters is the founder, CEO, and CIO of One River Asset Management and the CEO and CIO of Coinbase Asset Management, formed when Coinbase acquired One River Digital Asset Management in March 2023. A macro investor with three decades in markets, he founded One River in 2013 after serving as Chairman of the $1.25 billion global macro hedge fund Grant Capital Partners, with earlier roles at Peloton Partners, Lehman Brothers, and Credit Suisse. He drew wide attention in November 2020 when One River quietly accumulated more than $600 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum for institutional clients, one of the largest institutional crypto purchases on record, before exiting with over $1 billion. He also writes the widely read weekly macro letter Wknd Notes and holds a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University.
