Eli Ben-Sasson

Eli Ben-Sasson is the co-founder, president, and CEO of StarkWare, the company behind the Starknet Ethereum scaling network, and one of the foundational figures in zero-knowledge cryptography. A co-inventor of the STARK and FRI protocols and of Zerocash, the design that became Zcash (where he was a founding scientist), he earned his PhD in theoretical computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and held research positions at Harvard, MIT, and the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. He was a professor of computer science at the Technion before leaving to co-found StarkWare in 2018. He now advocates for STARK based scaling and post-quantum security across both Ethereum and Bitcoin.
