David Schamis

David Schamis is the CEO of Hyperliquid Strategies (Nasdaq: PURR), the largest digital asset treasury company holding the HYPE token, which came public in late 2025 through a business combination with Sonnet BioTherapeutics and raised roughly $888 million in cash and HYPE commitments. He is also a founding partner and Chief Investment Officer of Atlas Merchant Capital, the financial services investment firm he co-founded in 2014 with former Barclays CEO Bob Diamond, who serves as chairman of Hyperliquid Strategies. Before Atlas he was a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co., where he served as Chairman of Crump Group and a director of Symetra Financial, and he began his career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics in 1995.
