David Chaum

David Chaum introduced blind signatures and proposed digital cash in cryptography papers of the early 1980s, and founded the electronic cash company DigiCash in 1990. He founded the International Association for Cryptologic Research in 1982 and devised mix networks and the Dining Cryptographers protocol. He founded the xx network, a quantum-resistant mixnet and blockchain, in 2020.
