Binyi Chen
Binyi Chen is a cryptography researcher known for co-inventing several foundational zero knowledge proof systems, including HyperPlonk, Protostar, BaseFold, and LatticeFold, the first folding scheme with plausible post-quantum security. He previously served as Chief Cryptographer at Espresso Systems and later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University advised by Dan Boneh; according to his personal site, he has since joined Tsinghua University's Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences as an assistant professor. He received his PhD from UC Santa Barbara in 2019 and won the Best Paper Award at EUROCRYPT 2017.
