Bill Hughes has worked on cryptocurrency regulation as senior counsel and director of global regulatory matters at Consensys, the Ethereum software company behind MetaMask. He has testified before Congress on illicit finance in digital assets, advocating blockchain transaction analysis, clearer exchange and stablecoin rules, and cooperation between industry and law enforcement. Hughes previously served as an associate deputy attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice.
