Amrit Kumar

Amrit Kumar is the Chief Operating Officer of AltLayer, a rollups-as-a-service protocol that lets developers spin up application-tailored rollups, and a pioneer of restaked rollups built on EigenLayer. He earned a doctorate in computer science in France and did postdoctoral research at the National University of Singapore before co-founding Zilliqa in 2017, where he served as president and chief science officer. At Zilliqa he helped design one of the first sharded public blockchains and co-created Scilla, a formally verifiable smart contract language aimed at making contracts harder to exploit.
