Alex Svanevik

Alex Svanevik is the co-founder and CEO of Nansen, the blockchain analytics platform he started in 2019 with Lars Bakke Krogvig and Evgeny Medvedev to help investors make sense of on-chain activity through millions of labeled wallets. A Norwegian data scientist by training, he holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked in senior data science roles at Schibsted Media Group and as Chief Data Scientist at CoinFi before catching the crypto bug in 2017. Named after the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen, the company grew from a seed round backed by Mechanism Capital and Skyfall Ventures to a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and has since expanded from pure analytics into staking and AI-driven agentic trading. He has also served on the board of WalletConnect and on the advisory board of the Pudgy Penguins NFT collection.
