Alan Szepieniec

Alan Szepieniec holds a PhD in cryptography from KU Leuven and works on zero-knowledge proof systems and STARKs. Szepieniec is the first author of the Rescue-Prime and Tip5 hash function specifications. Szepieniec co-founded Neptune Cash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that is built on zk-STARKs and launched its mainnet in February 2025.
