Abigail P. Johnson became chief executive of Fidelity Investments in 2014 and chair in 2016. During Johnson’s leadership, Fidelity launched Digital Assets in 2018 to provide institutional cryptocurrency trading and custody. The firm expanded its digital-asset offerings in 2024 with exchange-traded products designed to track Bitcoin and ether.
