How EOF came out of Fusaka

EOF, the EVM object format, was a plan to let Ethereum improve the EVM without breaking the contracts already live, by adding a new, validated kind of contract. Its champions saw faster code and simpler tools; others worried about complexity, risk and whether builders could use it. This is the debate from the first plan to the call that took EOF out of the Fusaka upgrade, told mostly by the client developers who argued it on the All Core Devs calls, and what came after. Every quote is the speaker's own words in their order, with the ums and stumbles taken out; the original captions are one tap away.
